LifeLink HealthCare Institute is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to providing medical and surgical care for patients suffering from end-stage organ disease. The institute was established in 1994 as a multi-practice transplant facility comprised of cardiologists, nephrologists, transplant physicians, surgeons, internists, psychologists, social workers, nurse practitioners, nurses and support staff. Lung transplantation is the newest procedure offered. The institute works closely with Tampa General Hospital and the University of South Florida College of Medicine. The organization is one of six divisions of LifeLink Foundation. LifeLink Foundation is a nonprofit community service organization dedicated to the recovery and transplantation of organs and tissues for transplant therapy. The Foundation works with donor families to facilitate the donation of desperately needed organs and tissues for waiting patients. LifeLink has divisions in Florida, Georgia and Puerto Rico. LifeLink HealthCare Institute is located in Tampa, Fla.
