Fluoride Treatment

Fillings
Many patients are choosing to have their silver amalgam fillings removed and restored instead with composite resin materials. The process is not complex, and it can strengthen your tooth. As silver amalgam expands and contracts, it can crack a tooth. It is especially true as the filling and the tooth age. Your new tooth-colored filling will be virtually invisible.
Resin Composite
Dr. Rasmussen and Dr. del Cueto prefer composite resin for filling teeth. These fillings match the color of natural tooth enamel to ensure an unnoticeable appearance and are free from mercury and metal. Tooth-colored fillings require the dentist to remove less healthy tooth structure, and the filling is bonded to the tooth to make the tooth stronger. This tooth-colored restoration is highly desirable by both patient and dentist.
Veneers
For our patients that have or plan to have cosmetic, restorative dental treatment, our hygienist uses a specialized polishing agent on your porcelain veneers to assure the veneers remain as shiny and new as they were on the day they were bonded into place.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Oral Surgery
First, the dentist will need to place the dental implant, which is a tooth root replacement. This procedure is sometimes completed in a specialist’s office. This post is made of titanium, an element that actually fuses biologically to your natural bone so it is completely safe. Once placed in the jawbone during oral surgery, three to four months of healing is usually needed to allow the bone to grow around the implant and anchor it in place.
