Bayside Physicians

Absolutely terrible! Office hasn't been cleaned in years, average wait time is around in hour, was given false information several times and charged for services I didn't request. After all this, I was told I would "need to see a specialist" and that was all they would offer. I will never return and highly suggest never going to this office.

I very much like Dr. Holland who I saw there once. She was kind and thorough and I will go back only to see her (she is the reason I give 2 stars instead of 1). On subsequent visits I was given to Dr. Andrea O. (she may be a nurse practitioner, not sure). She was the worst doctor I've ever seen. Unkind, unconcerned, not at all thorough, and comes off as arrogant. I came in with severe acute pain (to the point I was in tears in the exam room). She didn't even bother to examine the area that I was complaining about. I also told her I had had a fever of 101 for the last 2 days. She didn't bother to take my temperature (I took it when I got home and still had a fever). She sent me away saying my pain was "gereralized" and probably just a virus. I ended up in terrible pain for the next two days before finding out I had a severely infected abscess that should have had immediate care. I am very upset with the lack of care I got there and will only go back if I know I will see Dr. Holland and not this other horribe doctor. The nurse was friendlly but a bit distracted and the office staff is nice enough. The office itself is a bit old and run down.

Love my Doc there, he's awesome, BUT the facility is run down, stains on the walls in some waiting rooms. The office staff functions at the lowest end of the professional spectrum. The last visit I saw PA - Johnson, she had NO problem lying to my face and violating HIPPA by discussing my records in a common area loudly enough to be heard through waiting room doors. Personality of a pitbull. Filling HIPPA complaint and finding another doctor unfortunately.

Actually, TampaInsider is right. The facility is in very poor condition and the staff is worse than the building looks and smells, which is pretty bad for a medical center. I went to Bayside for a couple of years trying to overlook how terrible the service was because I liked my Dr. well enough. Ultimately, I just couldn't take it anymore. Although I gave feedback, the demeanor and incompetence of their employees just got progressively worse. I grew weary of their lack of follow up on lab results, the problems getting prescriptions filled, and being billed for services I had already paid while in their office. I actually got a notice they were sending me to collections and not allowing me to make any future appointments over a $10 fee they claimed was unpaid. I literally had to go the office with my receipt. in hand to get it resolved. Who treats regular customers that way? What if I hadn't kept the receipt? Utter nonsense and a waste of my time. The real problem for me was that they simply didn't care about my time, the inaccuracy of their records, or the unnecessary distress they caused. Well, I finally voted with my feet and went elsewhere and seeing the difference I very much regret having not done it sooner. That'd why I'm writing this review. Let me save you a lot of time an aggravation by suggesting you not bother with Bayside. You can do exponentially better at so many other facilities.
