Central Pierce Fire & Rescue is a public service agency offering various fire prevention, extinguishing and education programs, and serving the communities of Parkland, Midland, Spanaway, Elk Plain, Summit and South Hill, Wash. It works with community leaders to promote various issues, such as fire safety and disaster preparation, and better inform the community on how to ensure the safety of their lives and property. The fire department also offers information hotlines for burn regulations, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid classes, station tours and honor guard information. The fire department also offers online bicycle, water and home safety information, such as disposing of old medicines, storing medications, practicing fire escape plans, installing smoke detectors, loading of electrical outlet and electrical cords, pets safety, and storing cleaning agents, pesticides and other toxic materials.
