Dental Sealants
It can be hard for your children to clean the tiny grooves of their teeth. Even with regular brushing and flossing, some areas are hard to reach, and food particles and bacteria build up causing tooth decay. Sealants help protect the surface of the teeth where chewing occurs. The teeth most at risk of decay, and therefore, most in need of sealants, are the six-year and twelve-year molars. That said, the permanent premolars will usually benefit from sealant coverage as well.

Thanks to the CEREC technology, we can create personalized crown in a matter of minutes, right here in our office. Crowns and veneers not only restore the appearance of your teeth, but they also strengthen them and help improve the alignment of your bite. Our porcelain crowns are made to match the shape and color of your teeth, making it virtually impossible to notice a difference from your other teeth. Reasons for getting a crown include a broken/fractured/decayed tooth, fractured fillings, large fillings, tooth that has a root canal, and/or cosmetic enhancement.
Crowns
For kids under 18 years old, we use fluoride in their regular hygiene appointments. Fluoride can also be used as a supplement to regular hygiene visits for adults. It helps to seal dentinal tubules which cause root sensitivity, and prevent tooth decay. It also can help to seal the margins of crowns, which prevents decay from getting underneath the crown. Dr. Hansen can help you know if fluoride is a good fit for your circumstances.
