Sunrise Fire-Rescue Department is responsible for protecting the life and property of residents and visitors in Sunrise, Fla. The department operates more than five state-of-the-art fire stations equipped with modern fire-rescue equipment. Its rescue unit responds to paramedic calls for injury or illness, and also assists at fire-related incidents. The department also has aerial platform trucks that respond to fire alarms, structure fires, and technical rescue calls. The trucks are equipped with 100-foot ladders, hand and power tools, specialized firefighting nozzles, ground ladders, and elevated victim rescue equipment. The department also has facilities, including hazardous materials units, fire pumps, mobile command vehicles, and air and light vehicles. Sunrise Fire-Rescue Department s trained personnel perform fire-rescue, paramedic and fire prevention duties, 24-hours, seven-days a week, through its critical public safety mission.
