Horrible School

Horrible for Kinder age. First of all, the school tries to have a chain of command. Plus a clear faculty/staff. However, I said tries, I never received during registration a form with all the faculty names listed and how to contact them. There was one phone number and one email listed. The school costs around $8000.00 per year. My child was absent for a week, so I had my husband go and pick up work that she had missed. What he came home with were about 18 worksheets. Black and white copies. The copies were so poor it looked like the machine was on it's last leg. When I saw the work, I called the school. I remember the owner at the parent teacher meeting mentioning she hated worksheets. I expected to speak to her or the principal about my concerns. In a nutshell, I spoke to both and a third person. They all were very rude and very defensive. The owner of the school told me that I should find another school for my child. I said I agree to that, but I paid my tuition in full(like an idiot). To make a long story short the owner refuses to give me any of the tuition money unless I sign a waiver of some sort. I believe telling them that I will not do or say anything that will harm the school's reputation.

Of course, I'm checking with a lawyer. But, money can be replaced. My freedom of speech can't and I'm appalled that a school would ask a parent to do what they are asking me to do. It alarms me and makes me wonder why are they so afraid? Have others been unhappy with the school? What else do they do that I'm not aware? I know that they hire teachers who are not even certified. One's that have not attended college at all. The school isn't accredited .

I think it's clear how this business could have made the experience better for me.

I just want people to take extra care when checking out this school for their child.

This is our second year with Trent International. It has been a wonderful experience and our son is very happy there. The classes are small with only a handful of kids in each class, which allows teachers to pay special attention to each kid and their specific needs. The teachers are hardworking, helpful, and very pleasant. The school also provides a nurturing environment with zero tolerance for bullying. It is a place where students are exposed to many cultural experiences such as a yearly International Festival, annual plays, music, and art. Kids from different countries mix, mingle, and learn about each other's cultures. However, being a small school makes it difficult to organize extracurricular activities like sports teams unless a significant portion of the students sign up. Fortunately for us, our son is not particularly interested in sports. It is not perfect but no school is. Overall it is a great school but part of it depends on what is important to a potential student.

My previous review didn't post. It was apparently too long- with good reason too. Just look at the stars, they'll tell you.

We went the school summer 2014 for the camp. The school's management is the worst of all that we have seen. The camp was no good as well. The teacher asked the kids to go out and play themselves when they suppose to instruct. Very disappointed!

This is not at all true. Each one of these teachers are certified and way over qualified. No amount of sour grapes is going to keep this amazing school down.

Unstable Parent

This is an amazing school. I know the school and the owner, and there is no way these people would have been anything but helpful. She must have done something really awful to get thrown out in the first week of school. All I know is that this Unstable person has sent us really creepy e-mails that my husband refuses to clear out from the inbox for fear of getting more and also for evidence. I have only met her 2 times, both times so disturbing, I thought it best to keep away from her. She actually sent us the link to this site in one of those e-mails. One minute she is an attorney, the next, she is a teacher; in one e-mail, she mentions her older child never being in a private school before, then she goes on about her prior experience with her older child at this school being good. However, I would like to clear one thing, I do know for a fact that every single teacher in that place is certified, degreed and way over qualified. Most of them actually have 2 Masters or better. What I wonder is if it's legal for her to e-mail people and say such damaging lies about a business. Does she really thing people don't check their teacher's credentials? No wonder they didn't give her the teacher's phone numbers. I, for one, am glad that her child is no longer in our school and would like to ask her, again, to stop e-mailing us.
