Spent 2 1/2 hours waiting to get my plates renewed. Provided my paperwork to a woman who I thought at first was going to be helpful. After looking at my paperwork she proceeded to tell me that I did not pay for my 2015 taxes even though the 2015 tax receipt I provided clearly showed that I did. If she had taken the time to look at the bottom of the paper I tried to show her, the receipt no., date taxes were paid, the amount due and the amount which I paid in full was clearly shown. She also insisted that I skipped a year and did not pay my taxes for one year. She ultimately refused to process my renewal stating that someone obviously made a mistake when I got the original license. I think this woman needs to learn her job a little better and treat the customers with more respect. I don't like the insinuation of being called a liar. She could learn a thing or two from the woman who helped me at another license office who was able to clearly see that I had paid my taxes for 2015 and that I did not skip a year on paying my taxes. She was able to process my renewal in just a few minutes. The woman at the Sugar Creek office could learn a thing or too from her. Will never go back to Sugar Creek office. Rude people would do not know their job very well.

Every visit to the is a good experience. I have never had to wait long and the employees are pleasant and knowledgeable. You can also easily reach them on the phone, today they answered on the second ring.

Need to update hours online

The hours they display are incorrect. Not much of an inconvenience during the week but when you are crunched on time and they are the only DMV in your area that is open on a Saturday it becomes an inconvenience. I drove from northeast KC needing to licence my vehicle and they were closed. Their correct hours are M-F 9-6:30 and Sat 9-1. It was a waste of gas.

rude!!

for the most part I didn't have to wait very long maybe around 25 minutes. I was there to get a non drivers license and I got my non driver's license. But the b**** in the wheelchair was very rude to me but she didn't respond to anything I had to say and if she had to respond she gave a slight head nod. Before I even sat down she told me I did not have the right information that I needed in fact I did have the right information so again she was very rude to assume without evening letting me get all of my information out. I hope she changes her attitude in the future and I will say this is an alright DMV to go through but again just don't let the b**** in a wheelchair be rude to you cuz I'm sure there is somebody out there that will not take it and she needs to be reprimanded
