Terrible doctors, an utter lack of communication. Like the majority of people, I read reviews on doctors before making an appointment, that is why I'm writing this--to warn people. I went there for back and spine problems, couldn't even see the doctor, just the nurse. She told me I had to go to physical therapy and once that was completed THEN I could see the doc. So I went to physical therapy for 3-4 months, I was getting absolutely no relief so I called and asked if I could finally see the doctor. The secretary told me that there's nothing the doc can surgically do, so I just have to live with my debilitating pain. They didn't even have decency to call me and let me know! The only reason I found this out after months of expecting to see the doctor is because I called THEM! Then I asked "well, if he can't do anything about it, can I see the pain doctor?". She said she would write a note and report to me what his decision was.....never heard back. Terrible.

Dr. DoucheBidet lied on my records then told me it was removed, it wasn't. Very deceitful! When I went in and calmly asked a question or two he had me and my wife physically removed by security guards! The other doctors are fine but you know what they say about one bad apple!

The staff, meaning the receptionist and the scheduler (who tries to portray herself as 2 different people but is really the same person) is rude and difficult. I wonder if the doctors and the office manager knows how her phone manners and behavior is. Steer clear of this office and the 2 Laurens.

I'M MORE THAN HAPPY TO WRITING THIS REVIEW ON THE CENTER FOR CRANIAL & SPINAL SURGERY. MY BOYFRIEND WAS DIAGNOSED WITH LUNG & BRAIN CANCER BACK IN SEPTEMBER OF 2007. THE DAY HE WAS DISCHARGED FROM THE HOSPITAL WE WENT AND MET WITH DR. AFSHAR. THE NEWS WAS NOT GOOD, KEVIN HAD 3 LESIONS IN THE BRAIN WITH MASSIVE EDEMA ALSO. WE WERE TOLD THAT HE HAD 6 MONTHS TO 3 YEARS TO LIVE. HE EXPLAINED OUR OPTIONS ABOUT WHOLE BRAIN RADIATION OR HAVING THE CYBERKNIFE PROCEDURE DONE. WE FELT THE CYBERKNIFE WAS THE BEST OPTION. SO DR.AFSHAR REARRANGED HIS SCHEDULE SO WE COULD HAVE THE PROCEDURE DONE A.S.A.P. SIX DAYS LATER HE WENT IN FOR THE CYBERKNIFE. HE WAS TREATED AND RELEASED WITHIN 3 HOURS. THE BEST PART OF THE CYBERKNIFE IS THAT IS NON-INVASIVE. THE HARDEST PART IS WE HAD TO WAIT 3 MONTHS TO SEE IF IT WORKED. BUT COME 3 MONTHS LATER WE GOT THE GOOD NEWS THAT ALL THE EDEMA WAS GONE AND THE 3 LESIONS WERE SHRINKING. KEVIN ALSO HAD TO GO THUR CHEMOTHERAPY WITH DR. IANNOTTI HIS ONCOLOGIST,WHO IS GREAT ALSO. IT'S NOW APRIL 2008 AND WE JUST HAD OUR FOLLOW UP WITH DR. AFSHAR AND PAUL AVIDON,PA-C AND THE NEWS IS STILL GOOD. NO NEW GROWTHS AND THE OLD ONES ARE STILL REDUCING. HIS CHEMEOTHERAPY IS ALSO WORKING AND HE'S IN REMISSION. KEVIN STILL HAS A TOUGH FIGHT TO GO WITH HIS TYPE OF CANCER BEING SO AGGRESIVE, SO ALL WE CAN DO FOR NOW IS DO OUR FOLLOW-UP SCANS AND HOPE FOR THE BEST. I WASN'T SURE IF HE WOULD OF MADE IT TO 2008 IF IT WASN'T FOR THE CYBERKNIFE, I KNOW THAT IT SAVED HIS LIFE. MY FATHER PASSED AWAY BACK IN 1999 OF BRAIN CANCER. THEY DIDN'T HAVE CYBERKNIFE AVAILABLE THEN, I SURE IT WOULD OF HELPED. I AM SO GRATEFUL WE HAVE IT NOW. NEEDLESS TO SAY I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. AFSHAR & HIS WONDERFULL STAFF!!!!
