General Info: Founded in 1968, Zellers Elementary School provides a variety of educational programs to students in kindergarten through grade six. It offers classes in reading, writing, math, English, science, music, language arts and physical education. The school provides lunch menu that includes chicken nuggets, diced pears, bread sticks, grilled cheeseburgers, mashed potatoes, pizzas, crinkle cut fries and chocolate chip cookies. It additionally supplies a range of stationery items, including pencils, glues, crayons, markers, tapes, pencil boxes, pocket folders, erasers, scissors, pens, rulers, notebooks and index cards. The school also operates a counseling department that offers information on scholarship opportunities, graduation requirements and career planning. It maintains a parent-teacher association that encourages parental involvement in children s education. The school s staff includes custodians, nurses, technicians, office assistants and secretaries. Zellers Elementary School is a part of Strongsville City Schools, which serves more than 7,000 students in kindergarten through grade 12.
