Furniture & Floors for Less

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I bought a living room set (couch, love seat, and chair). I paid extra to have this company delivery it to my home. On the date of delivery, I was in for a surprise. The store only sent 1, yes ONE, person to deliver the furniture. The employee asked me to help him move the couch, love seat, and chair into my house. I am not a very strong person and this was a little bit of a shock. He then asked if I would call someone to come help him (this was 4 o'clock on a weekday). I was able to find someone to come over and help. The chair and love seat got moved in without incident, however, the couch is a whole different story. After shoving, pinning, and getting the couch stuck multiple times- it became evident that the delivery driver was only going to be successful at one thing, destroying my newly painted walls, woodwork, and doors. After he left, my entryway and front yard was ruined. Not only was the paint scuffed on the woodwork, there where gouges in it. The walls were not just nicked, but the plaster was chipped off so badly that the metal on the corners were showing. The doors were scratched and in need of repair. The railing on the porch was taken off and laying on my freshly planted flowers, the screen door was sitting on the sidewalk. It was a mess! I was then told that in order to get my refund, I would have to drive down to the store and sign for it. The following day, I drove the 45 minutes to the store to sign for my refund, and show the manager pictures of the damage. I gave her a modest estimate of the amount it would cost to fix the damage caused. She said she would take care of it. A month later, I still had not received anything from the store nor had they called to say what was taking so long. When I called, I spoke with the manager again and she stated that she thought a check was in the mail. Later that afternoon, her ASSISTANT called me to let me know that I would need to provide them with the receipts of the materials it cost to fix, and that they would only compensate up to $50 for labor. They also would not fix things because the driver stated he didn't cause that damage, but the other person I called to help did. I am sorry, but I will never go through this company ever again. (1) Don't' show up with one delivery person and (2) Don't say you are going to fix it and make the customer do more work to fix your mistake. Unprofessional, unreliable, and an utter disappointment.
