I paid $10 ON 05/03/18 to reserve my appointment for 3:30pm with Tiffany on 05/06/18 as directed to by Kelly, the owner.I arrived at 3:17 pm on 05/06/17. I wanted a trim with a full sew im .When I got there,Tiffany told me to have a seat. After waiting 20 minutes,Tiffany informed me that even though I paid the $10,I wouldn't be seen until she was finished with the woman in her chair, who was only 1/3 finished. I called Kelly, aka Kariah, the owner. She said she was out with family and would give me my $10 back and have to go elsewhere! Why would I wait until 5 or 6 oclock and my PAY a reservation that was for 3:30? Kelly also had choice words for me & proceeded to hang up in my face! When Tiffany realized she wouldn't be doing my hair, she LOCKED the door! All this because I wanted to get a service in a timely manner!Ridiculous, unprofessional& highly GHETTO!

Kelly is ghetto the sew-in didnt last, and I paid way more than the advertised price. I have been getting sew-ins for years, and this was the worst hands down. Never again!!

I traveled from out of town to have my hair done by Kelly and I must say that I should have cancelled my appointment and went somewhere else. She was an hour and a half late for my appointment. Some of the braiders have very nasty attitudes but not as nasty as Kelly's. I will NEVER EVER EVER go back to Kariah Salon even if they offered me free services. Kelly is unprofessional with the way she runs her business. Now to the hair...OMG!!!!! This hair has shedded so much that it is ridiculous. If I run my fingers through the hair, hair is everywhere. The hair is very dry and the ends are terrible. Some of my tracks have even came loose and I had to tact them down myself. Virgin hair is an investment because it cost so much and I can say that I have lost money dealing with this salon; investment my a**. She claim she has a 1 year warranty on the hair against shedding and tangling...HA! right! For the people who are from out of town you must travel all the way back to the shop for her to "SO CALLED FIX IT." Anybody I know traveling anywhere near Stone Mountain, GA I tell them not to even think about going near her shop. All I can say is lesson learned. Kelly, you cannot prosper in life doing dirty things; sh*tting people.

So I went to Kariah Salon on April 5th, 2013 due to the fact that they had a Spring Special for $175 for any length up to 26". Now granted the special states that they have up to 26" in stock but upon arriving to the salon, 3 hours later, I found out that they don't have but 16" or 20" hair. Say what!...Did I just waited 3 hours to find this out...Okay. So I'm annoyed. By the way, we only take CASH, although the sign on the door state the acceptance of every credit/debit card known to man...Okay! "I'm confused". Lets keep waiting for another 2 hours...its finally my turn. I stated to the braider that I would like to get 3 bundles of hair. She started my head by sewing in 2 ROWS of the hair and sent me on my way to wait agian for another 1/2 an hour for the stylist to finish me. Sat in the stylist chair and asked for her PROFESSIONAL OPINION on whether or not she would recommend 2 or 3 bundles for my head. My head is small and they left out so much of my hair that after re-evaluating my sew-in, I questioned whether 3 packs would honestly fit. She replied, if you want 3 packs in, I can sew 3 packs in but your head can probable hold 2 packs and a little. Say What! So why would I pay for 3 packs. Then she continues to state that I need to know what I want because now she has to take out the 2 ROWS of weave and this is keeping her back. So the salon is empty. 10 customers in total all day and I just waited 5.5 HOURS to FINALLY sit in your chair for you to tell me that the 5 min job of snipping 2 tracks out is holding you back. EXCUSE ME. I'm sorry that I wasted 5 mins of your time, please disregard the fact that I stayed in your salon for 6.5 hours in total and was left with 20" hair. My real hair is 20". I could have went to the Dominicans and had my real hair pressed out. This salon is very UNPROFESSIONAL and their specials are not really specials. How could you promote a special about hair and not have the hair lengths that your advertising...A waste of my day. Kudos to those that want to wait 6-7 hours to get a sew-in from people who don't appreciate your business...

I am very disappointed with this salon. I scheduled an appointment for a wash, straighten and trim @ 9am and was the second girl to get there. My hair was washed by some stylist who was VERY rough with my fragile hair. She was pulling and ripping my wet hair as she was combing it from root to tip, which is NOT what you’re supposed to do. There were girls that got there after me without appointments that were being serviced; meanwhile I'm still waiting to get my hair blow-dried. I asked one of the stylists if I could get my hair blow- dried while it was still damp because it won’t get as straight if it’s blow-dried while my hair is almost dry. She was quick to tell me that it would be fine. I'm not a licensed cosmetologist but I KNOW that's not how it's done. After 45 minutes I'm still waiting. By this time my hair is completely dry! I noticed that EVERY customer that came after me was being serviced but me. I have now been waiting over an hour! I eventually decided to just leave because I wasn't about to wait all day for them to figure out how to be professional. The owner Kelly waived the shampoo fee. No apology at all. I thought that was the least she could do. I walked out of there with an afro. I will NEVER return here again. The customer service sucks. I will do my best to warn anybody else about this pathetic excuse for a salon.

I give them three stars becaus...

I give them three stars because at the end of my visit I LOVE MY HAIR. I've been to this salon twice. And they should be privledged that I got my hair done there because it was my first sew in. They are not friendly and if you don't mind unfriendly stylist then this is the place to go. Great price for a great style. Kariah as the owner is not friendly, she just does her job. Also you will be there for about eight hours. Both times I went I was there all day. It is in the hood so be careful, the salon is poor but like I said I always love my hair. As far as image, personalities, vibes? If you need all that then this is not the salon to go to and that's why I give them three stars cause they stank as hell!
