Oakes Roofing

Had a new roof installed on house garage and shed around the chimney still leaks as I told them in the beginning will not call back service stinks would never recommend this company for anything also did a horrible job cleaning up on my 3rd flat tire

DJ Kutchman and the Oakes crew with trailer showed up right on time and promptly got to work tearing off the old roof and cleaning up the mess. The roof on the garage and house went on beautifully right up to the end. When they realized they were about 2 bundles of shingles short. They said they would be back on Monday to finish because the shingle supply house was closed, it was the weekend. No problem, I understand things can go wrong, so they laid a layer of roof sheathing over the ridge and unfinished area of the roof to keep rain and critters out. Well its been a week and a half and being told 5 times they will be there tomorrow then not showing up has left me climbing on the roof to fasten the sheathing that peeled back before it rained and looking for another roofer to finish the job. We have tried calling them and can no longer even get them to call back. The worst part is our insurance company happened to go by the house last week and have now cancelled our policy because the roof is not water tight. That leaves us trying to get a roof finished. I had to go get shingles and a ridge vent my self today and think I have found another roofer to finish the job so we can hopefully get house insurance after being cancelled. Insurance will probably cost more now due to our previous policy being cancelled. While it started off good and there was no mess when they left, leaving a roof unfinished for almost 2 weeks and we have been having rain, not so good. They are in Fraser, MI now or so their website says.
