Started in 1916 as a home for Norwegian Lutherans in Brooklyn, N.Y., it is now operates a 370-bed residential health care facility. The center offers various on-site rehabilitative services, including physical, occupational, speech and recreational therapies, and rehabilitation medicine. It also provides skilled nursing and subacute care services that include intravenous and respiratory therapies, peritoneal dialysis, specialized wound care and total prenatal nutrition. Eger serves the continuing health care needs of senior community members by offering a range of services, including social adult day care and hospice care, and it operates an on-site 75-bed assisted living program facility. Located in Staten Island, N.Y., it is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

        They are MURDERER'S !!!

        DO NOT PUT YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS HERE! DIANNE IS RIGHT.

        They are abuser's and have no empathy for their patients and no patient care or concerns! HORRIBLE staff!

        Eggers Nursing Home … the worse place ever ... if you have a loved one, please do not put them in this facility … my grandmother is here, and they are inattentive towards her needs ... she is always upset, disturbed, and saddened … she wishes to lay in bed all day, and sleep the rest of her life away ... the food is appalling, the aids are uneducated, untaught, and the nurses know not what they are doing ... poorly trained …the cries I hear from the residents in their rooms are traumatizing ... just yesterday, I heard one lady screaming,” if I had a heart attack no one would know for hours” ... all this because she needed to go the bathroom ... no one came in to help her ... she wound up wetting herself ... another man was lying in bed, half naked, with a tray of macaroni and cheese put in front of him, calling out for help … no one responded … I purposely watched to see if anyone would take notice … SHAME ON EGGERS!!! A personal suggestion from me ... if your only option is to place your parent into a nursing home ... make sure you have someone there 24 hours a day ... you are the best care for a loved one! Depression sets in, and these old people wish to die, before their time. They give up! Help them instead of rejecting them ... the only reason i had to h it one star is because it wouldn't list my posting ... this place is horrible!!! as are the workers!
