Dental Sealants

Fillings
Cavities are generally cleaned out with a high speed drill or air abrasion tool, and filled with a composite or a ceramic material that mimics the color and texture of the tooth’s original enamel. Metal amalgam filling material are no longer used.
Veneers
Crowns are not used as frequently in cosmetic dentistry as they once were because of more conservative procedures like veneers, bonding, and bleaching. However, when teeth have been severely damaged by decay, have large fillings or are rotated or crooked, they may require the extra strength of a crown.

Dr. Dantini is always looking to enhance quality of treatment and patient comfort. He is one of the area’s earliest adopters of Dental Lasers, acquiring his first Nd:Yag laser in 1991 and was trained by the father of dental laser dentistry, Dr. Terry D Myers. He also was a very early user of Digital radiography and has been making same day crowns since 2001 (known as Cerec crowns). Dr. Dantini was fabricating NTI-ss ( Nociceptive Trigeminal Inhibition Tension Suppression System) for clenching and grinding, well before other dentists. He has been on the cutting edge in finding new technologies to best help solve dental problems.
Dental Bonding

Root Canal Treatment
The longer an abscess remains, the more difficult the root canal treatment may be. Also, the chances for post treatment complications increase and the success rate drops. If allowed to go long enough, permanent loss of the tooth may occur.

Gum Surgery
If the condition is more advanced, other therapies including gum surgery or bone regeneration may have to be performed. In the worst case, the teeth may have to be removed. Fortunately, eating well balanced meals, avoiding snacking (especially sweets), regular brushing, flossing and regular check-ups can limit the risk of getting gum disease.

Teeth Whitening
Z oom bleaching takes about 1 to 1 1/2 hours in our office. First, we take upper and lower models of your teeth with alginate so that we can fabricate custom made bleaching trays to “touch up or reinforce” the initial whitening 6 months to a year after the office treatment. Isolation, protecting the sensitive areas of your mouth, takes 15 minutes.
