Overall

I was referred to the US Store on Mariner located in the Publix supermarket strip mall by an associate platform employee of my credit union (SCFCU). Big Mistake!!! As a retired NY Enforcement Officer and College Admin with Graduates Degrees +, I have never experienced such trashy treatment anywhere in my entire life on Thursday Oct 23,2014 @1255 hrs.,. That was date and time I encountered what has to be a Jerry Springer reject. After standing there just waiting to be acknowledged finally the man behind the counter finished his telephone call and asked if he could help and I politely informed him that I needed a document notarized. He then called to a female standing just a few feet from the both of us and informed her that I needed a notarization. She who I found out was the manager never ever acknowledged him and said nothing, instead she interrupted a patron using the computer and continued her conversation with him about why she has never and would never allow her 11 yr old daughter to ever have a flu shot!. I listened to this conversation for several minutes and she never budged or changed her conversation about what the "FDC", I repeat the "FDC" said about why you should not get a flu shot. I waited to the point that I informed the man behind the counter that I see she is busy and maybe I will come back at another time and proceeded to leave. It was at this point she went behind the counter gave me a nasty look and said, " I am here if you want a notary", as she fumbled in a draw behind the counter. It was very evident that this Black man dressed in sweat pants and a polo shirt was not getting waited on in this UPS store. My very genuine and NY educational and law enforcement training and background told me that the blonde haired lady who strutted pass me as she went behind the counter was not gong to wait on the Black Man period. I left and reentered a few seconds later to ask who was the manager and also to get her business card of the table was Caroline Kellogg. There should be nowhere in society for people like her especially when they are working in direct customer service. She should be investigated by the state of Florida who licensed her and as far as I am concerned the UPS symbol should not even be associated with this store when she is on sight. Shame on the UPS store and shame on Caroline Kellogg for being not posting a sign saying ,"Whites Only". I will send a letter to my credit union informing them of my purposeful treatment at the UPS store and that they should rethink their position on sending people there, period ! I have no rating for the store, it cant 'any lower and deserves no stars just XXXX's. I am being prompted to give it a star over my objection in order for this review to be posted.

This franchise owner needs to be schooled on the art of customer service. They are rude, nasty, expensive. They charge $5 for just -1- piece of tape because they did not like the tape that was sealing the box... Charles Matthews, owner..his wife Michelle, daughter Caroline Kennedy & son-in-law are ripping people off. They are breaking banking regulations by setting minimum credit card limits.($5)...the place is dirty...smells....(like old burgers) and is just not a good place to do any kind of shipping/mail business. I would rather drive 20 miles out of my way than deal with these poor excuses for humans. UPS Customer Relations has been made aware of this store on 6/28/13. They are very concerned about their reputation and name. This is not behavior that is tolerated and was told they will be contacted regarding these numerous complaints regarding customer service.

Horrible experience! I went here to return an item to another company. That company gave me a label & a letter stating that The UPS Store would package the item at no cost to me (UPS was to bill the company).

The manager told me I had to pay even though the letter stated otherwise. I was told to leave if I didn't like it. I asked to speak to the manager (she stated that was her) or I could speak to the owner. I gave him my letter & explained that I should not be charged; the girl came over and was very nasty, telling me I didn't know their policy. I said she was being nasty, and as soon as I said that, the owner Charles, told me to get the h*ll out of his store. I said that I was just trying to send my package & she did not need to be nasty. He then told me to get the f*ck out of his store. I am sorry if this is how the company conducts business. The girl was being nasty & I had every right to state that. His reaction was solely based on her being his child (I only found this out after I asked for his name and the number to the corporate office).

I am now in contact with the corporate office because even though this location is a franchise, UPS does not want its names associated with people who treat customers so poorly.

I normally go to the shipping store near Weeki Wachee, but they were not apart of the corporate relations store (which is what I needed to send my package). I now drove out of my way, wasted time and gas, and I still have not sent my package out. Instead, I was spoken down to and told to get out of a store, when all I did was state the girl was being nasty. I now wonder of they were trying to double charge for shipping the package (charge me and then still charge the other company). Otherwise why would they clearly ignore the letter, which VERY clearly stated that I was not to pay anything and that UPS was to bill the company.

I am absolutely baffled how this UPS is still in business. I have never had such a consistently awful experience at any place of business like I have had here.

I own an online business which requires me to ship out a lot of products and just moved to the spring hill area. When I was in Orlando I used UPS to ship and always had a great experience.

After the third time of coming to this store and each time having a horrible experience I am done giving them any more chances to have my business.

First off the owners of this UPS, which I am assuming is franchised because I could not see UPS cooperate hiring and keeping such sloppy rude and unprofessional workers are all downright pigs. I don't just say this because I am upset at the service I say this because each time I have gone in the person checking people out and handling the packaging (mind you not always the same person either) are always buttering up their fingers with some sort of fast food, and stuffing their faces right in front of everyone, like that is the "norm" in a place of business. By the way when they were weighing out my package the woman wiped her filthy greasy hands on it and I then i had to put it in a new box. I try to provide the best service possible for my customers, which is obviously quite different from these folks business model.

Secondly they treat everyone as if they have better things to do and are short and un-friendly (apparently those big Macs are more important than their customers).

Thirdly on two of the three occasions I have been in I have seen them just throwing the packages around, literally throwing them, kicking them acting as if people did not just pay their hard earned money to have them shipped respectable, not treated like soccer balls. (Remember the Fed-ex delivery driver caught on video throwing the TV?) Yeah this UPS puts that guy to shame in proper handling.

The last time i went in I was going in to get a quote on a package size I had never shipped before. I politely asked if the worker could write the quote down because I was going to compare with UPSP and Fed-EX, instead of writing it down for me which clearly was too much work for him he rudely repeated the total aloud and then said "next customer". By the way there was only one other person in line at this point.

Honestly I have never had such an awful experience.

PLEASE do not give them your business! there is several USPS very close by and mind you the are almost always cheaper to ship with.

I hate to see businesses prospering and getting away with treating the people who make their business possible so terribly. There are plenty in need of jobs who certainly would take the time to treat and handle their business like a blessing, not a place to hang out and eat their hourly McDonalds.
