Great customer service

Hi tech Carstar went above and beyond they took care of everything. My car looked better than new and they even gave me a loaner car free of charge. All I can say is thank you for a job well done!

STAY AWAY

If you are looking to have repairs done PLEASE stay away from Hi Tech in Spanaway. They also own two other shops according to records in the area that are just under different names. They did work on our truck that is now going to have their work fixed through another collision repair company. When my son came home with the truck this is what we found was now wrong after they got their hands on it. We took it in for a damaged front fender. This is a list of what has to now be fixed due to their incompetence. We are now having both headlights replaced because one is missing parts (not sure how since it was suppose to be new) and the other was never properly secured in so it hangs loose, the fender flare was not secured so it is loose, the hood is misaligned (tiny gap on one side and my finger fits through the other side), the bumber is mounted at an angle and is to short so it doesn't line up with fender, the fender isn't flush with the door so it sticks out, the air filter wasn't hooked up when we got it home, the door now squeeks when you open it, there was grease all over the seatbelt, oh the list goes on. We are so thankful that our insurnace company has agreed to pay another shop to fix their work! My original rep with my insurance company even had a problem with them when she called to try and deal with them when all the problems first started (so it's not just me). We had to go through two different managers there because we aren't into playing games about a service they are being paid to provide. On my final call when I had had enough of their nonsense, they refused to tell me who owned the place so I could talk to him so he would know what really happens at the shop. The manager kept saying how he now has our parts and wants to fix it but in all honesty why would I go back when they are not truthful, don't return calls when we were trying to set up the redo appt and do horrible work. He did provide me with a new classic line I will use when I don't do something I am suppose to do, "Give me a break, it was the 5th of July!" REALLY? Sorry buddy the holiday is the 4th so no excuse for the 5th but it is funny now that I am done with you! I did finally figure out Tracey is the owner and I got ahold of him and he like the rest of his crew takes no responsibility. If you like people making excuses for poor customer service and AWFUL work then this is your place but if not RUN! One star is generous but the review didn't give me an option for a run like hell button!

Horrible, awful, and disappointing!

I would totally recommend Hi-Tech Collision to anybody that would like to be kicked while they're down! Our experience here was a disaster & after coming to pick up the car 4 different times & 2 1/2 months later (yes, it really was 10 weeks!!!), they ended up telling us that "it's as good as it's going to get". Boy, that should probably be their new logo! The 1st time they told us our car was done, the alignment was bad, the bumper was not straight with the fenders or hood, there were still scratches in the paint, new marks were put on an unaffected bumper because they hadn't put the mat over the it while they were working and their hoses left new marks, and the "new" fender had not even been painted to match our car with the crazy thin paint they attempted to use. The 2nd time they told us our car was done, the bumper still was not aligned, the seat belt didn't work, and our check engine light was on. Most places would never even allow a car they're working on to leave their shop with a check engine light on...but not Hi-Tech; even though they had not actually found out why the check engine light was on, they told us that it was not because of the accident and that would be on us. Needless to say, we ran out of time with our rental car from ourinsurance company after about 6 weeks and the car was still not finished...the estimated date just kept being pushed back further and further. I told them that the only reason why our car wasn't finished was because of their own mistakes and that they should have to get us a rental car; they finally conceded and gave us their horrible donor car.The last time we went to pick up the car, the guy was incredibly rude - after all, they had already been paid by the insurance company as well as our deductible...so I guess customer service was out the window. After having some words (most car guys would have!), we ended up leaving with a scratch on the bumper & still an uneven gap between the bumper, hood, & headlights. Oh, and to really make matters worse, they accused us of not filling up the gas tank on their donor car that they had to give us after the first month and a half when it wasn't finished - I guarantee you the tank wasn't full when I got it and they're lucky I filled it to 1/4, which is where it was when I got it. I'm horrified that any company would allow their employees to treat customers the way an unnamed estimator did. I wouldn't wish this treatment on my worst enemy!
