Horrible

I would never recommend anyone to finance any vehicle from them. They only care about there cars. My car was almost 10 yrs old and I was over priced. The car didn't have any safety belts in the back seat for my child's safety. They have poor customer service and don't know how to reason with people

horrible!!!!

My husband and I arrived at auto equation around 1:00p.m. We found a car we liked and test drove it within the first 15 mins of being there. We wanted the car but the sales person said he didn't know the price. He asked what we were putting down and then asked for the money. He took the money and went into an office with another guy. After maybe 45 mins he comes out asking us questions as he fills out an application. Then he goes back in the office. About an hour later he comes out and says they want 14k for the car, now the car is a 2004 Honda Accord with 130k on it. Book value, 7500. With financing they want 19k! I told them I knew the value and that it was unreasonable to ask that much. Sooooo he comes the real salesman, Mack. He says "I need your business, what do we have to do to make a deal". Drop the price is what I said. Long story short, he drops it after about another hour. We make a deal and finally by 8pm, yes 7 hrs later we leave BUT not with the car. They said they had to "detail" it and put a GPS on it. They said they would bring it to us on the following Monday. Monday comes and no word. After a few calls we find out we aren't getting it Monday. Tuesday comes, after multiple calls and promised delivery times, no car! Wednesday comes - u guessed it NO car. So they then promise to bring it Wednesday night. No call by 8pm so we call and they say "its not looking good". The next day we are told the car was making a noise so they have to get it checked out. No word Thursday. Friday we call and they say it is the transmission but something simple. After 4 more days the car is still in the shop. We decided it was a deal breaker and requested our money back. After being offered every car on the lot Mack finally said he would have a check cut. We drove all the way back out there to get it. Then 2 weeks later started receiving calls from them saying we needed to pay our bill. After repeatedly saying we didn't have the car they would say ok, sorry we have to take you off the list. Just today we received another call. My next step is to report them and personally speak to the owner... Face to face. DO Not trust them!!!!

Worst place to shop for vehicl...

Worst place to shop for vehicles, Their prices are unbelievably high and their goal is to milk every dollar out of their customers. and once they sell a car to you, they move on to the next victim and don't seem to care about customer service!!! I HAD A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH AUTO EQUATION

Don't waste your time with this place!!!

I called in advance about a specific car they had on their lot, I explained to Mack exactly the amount bracket we had to stay in & what we had to put down. Mack asked when we could come in & I informed him at that time that we live about 100 miles away, he said well if you can come in tomorrow we will make you a good deal. We got there expecting to see a specific car & they gave us every excuse in the book why it was not there. After 45 minutes of waiting we looked around & found a similar vehicle. We decided to go ahead & test drive it & liked it despite the fact that it needed 3 tires, the check engine light was on & the inspection was almost up. When it came down to the financing part they told us they wanted $15,995. When we looked up the dealer value it was worth $9,927 in excellent condition ( without needing the tires, inspection or the check engine light)

They came down to $13,995 but wanted more money down plus TTL. My husband asked why they were trying to rob someone? I turned to both if the gentleman & said I explained to Mack exactly the terms we could comfortably keep, now we just drove 100+ miles to get a car u can't find & now you are going to try to sell us a car that is worth $9700 for $16,000 & he said well that's what we want for it, the price we gave to you was a Internet cash price, I said ok but it's only worth $9,700 & he said well those are the terms. My husband said ok well let's go & I said ok well I need to get our personal info back & he said can't give that to you. So they kept copies of our DL, Ss cards bank statements & other bills.

My point here is stay away unless you want a wasted day.....

Trouble code found Wrong ECM...

Out of state buyer who offered to purchase on the condition the truck had no trouble codes stored in the ECM, and all accessories were functioning properly. Salesman "JR" had two weeks to verify the truck was as advertised (needs nothing, ready to drive off) and assured me prior to flying into Houston that the truck was as agreed. It wasn't:

Trouble code found

Wrong ECM installed (probably to hide additional trouble codes)

Gas gauge inoperative

Heater core disconnected due to leakage so no heater in 32 degree weather

Side mirrors inoperative

Radio display lights out

Want to buy from them, be my guest and be sure to bring an extra $2k for what will be needed to fix what they falsely advertise and promise.
