Overall
awful

I took my nephew there. Most of the games were out of order. The one's not marked just ate your tokens, or didn't give you tickets. Because the staff didn't bother to refill them. They refused to give me any money back for my nephew to play more games even though they ate $10. The go carts were slow and making noise like they've never been repaired. And the staff there are very rude And not at all helpful

Never ever going back

My family and I were very excited to ride go karts and play laser tag and so on and so forth, but as soon as we got to Southridge Grand Prix I could tell how terrible the customer service was. The staff, made up of uninvolved and lazy teens, were always on their phones. One of the young women was talking and cursing into her cell phone while handing my 10 year old brother his go karting ticket. The go karting line was huge and there were only four working karts, so as one might imagine, my younger brother and cousin were so excited to have their turn! When they got on the track and started racing, I could tell the older men on the track did not mind hitting young children if that means they would win; however, the teen boy running the go karts did not seem to mind. We also played putt putt (worst putt putt course I've ever seen) and laser tag which were both overpriced for the experience we got from them. The arcade was also a waste of money. A lot of the games were marked out of order or not marked and are your coins. Overall I would definitely not recommend this as a fun place to visit.

Don't bother, the staff doesn't bother

The teen staff made a decision based on "safety" to kick my child off of the big carts and sent her to baby carts. She only stopped the cart twice as she was getting used to the steering wheel. Meanwhile other children were crashing over and over. The adults were bumping each other constantly and they were ignored. Their decision to stand by a bunch of lazy teenagers who obviously didn't want to be bothered with working, leaves me to believe that they have little, if any, management skills. Also watched teenage staff welding one of the cars without safety goggles. Nice! And ever so "safe". I will also never return!

Do not go there

We were expecting our children to have a blast.. But yet it was horrid! The go karts was 2 karts only, the line was hudge. Of our family wanted to ride together we would have to wait for hours. The food was crappy and microwaved. They didn't give any plates for our pizza or condiments... We were so aggravated that we requested our money back and even that was a hassel. We finally were reimbursed and we left the kids were so dissatisfied. If they would take the proceeds for the crappy food maybe they could replace more than 2 go carts. We will never go back there again!

No bang for the buck!!

Employees are constantly on their cell phones texting or playing games!! Worst putt putt course I've ever seen. We couldn't skate because rolker derby was having practice. No go karts were even running and half the video games were broke!! I will never spend my money at grand prix ever again!!

Overall
horrible

I took my daughter here to ride a go cart and also to see if she would like to have her birthday party here. She is 3, almost 4. We bought a go cart ticket and waited in line for at least 30 minutes. At this point we still a couple in front of us and it was time for us to go pick up her sister, so we had to leave. They refused to give us a refund on the ticket. So basically I wasted my time and $7.56. At least I decided this is not where to have her party.

The first reviews sound like t...

The first reviews sound like the owner reviewing the place. The place needs work.

The carts: One track has been closed and the other cars have been powered down. Last time I was there I noticed this and asked why. I was told that powering the cars down save the battery making it last longer. Yeah the battery may last longer but it makes for a very boring ride which is why we rarely go there anymore. Only if the kids wants too on his birthday with friends. But to just go no way. Yeah your saving the batter but no one wants to go there anymore

Lazer Tag: Yes it is true that on most occasions I've been there lots of the vest are no functioning properly. Again the kids do have fun but only a limited number of people can play and sometimes the computer tracking the game does not work.

Staff; How could you be excitied about working at a place thats trying to make money by offering less. Hey the staff know this! Yeah there not the most excited staff I've ever met but I have had nother but curtious service from everyone I've met there.

Hey! Spend the money, fix the lazer tag vest. Crank the cars full blast and let them race. Believe me you'd get more of my money. As it stands now the less product and service offered the less I want to spend.

Overall
dissapointing

I stopped here on my way to a family function, with teenagers and an 8 and 10 year old. Lets start with the go karts, 1 of the three tracks was not open, the "slick track", pretty much the reason we came. The grand prix track was open, but the karts were so slow it was hardly any fun at all. Also on this track the karts were not even close to being the same speed, some were 3 or 4 mph faster, and when you consider a top speed of only 12-16 mph, thats a big difference!! The smaller kids had a good time on the kids track, so on the karts if you are an adult with any driving ability at all, avoid this place the karts are not fun. If you have smaller children, the karts are perfect to build skill for the faint of heart or not to sure of thier skills. Now on to the lazer tag, 6 of the 15 or so vests did not work and the ones that worked, did not work to well. At least it was more fun than the karts. To the owners of this facility, hire some kids that have a little interest in thier jobs. If you have a customer that is there to have a good time, shouldn't you have employees trying to make that happen? We asked the kids (who by the way were at least friendly and helpful) who were running the go karts to give us some more power, and they said they werent allowed. Why is this, if they are capable of more speed? The prices are very reasonable, but I would pay more if the performance of the kart was up to par.

Thanks For What Charleston Needed

Charleston really needed a place like this. Young kids, teens, and adults now have something fun to do. It was a blast and we will continue to go back.
