City Cab

Terrible terrible terrible.
I'm pregnant. I've been in town 2 days. I left chicago because my husband was hurting me and i ended up stranded after i couldn't find a Lyft after trying to get my SD card back from someone. I'd been outside the persons house for hours and i was freezing so bad I was shaking and this has been the worst 2 days of my life

Dispatch was rude and interrogated me for asking for a cab because it was late. About 1am. "Why did you go there?" etc. "Why cant you go here instead of calling a cab?" This was even After i told her I was pregnant, very cold, and sincerely very scared. She said it wasn't safe for her to send a driver because I wasn't in doors. Which I understand but it also wasn't safe for me and my unborn son. After I called the cab I called the police to help me get my stuff back. Police got there first and were amazing and I am thanking god in my heart for how good they were to me. But then the cab showed up (later than she said it would but it was also late notice so Im not sure if that counts against them) and I told her I was talking to cops and she said "I knew I sent the cab against my better judgment" and hung up in my face. The fantastic officers gave me a ride back to my motel and once again I am So grateful they were there. Thank you SB PD so much. Im crying happy tears of gratitude because they helped me on a truly terrible night.

Dispatch you were a rude and awful person to a woman who is struggling terribly and I hope you see this and treat people better next time. Im safe and warm in my motel now thanks to the officers
