Gus's Steakhouse

Very good, 1950's or so steakhouse complete with booths. The steaks were generous and the mushroom sauce delectable. Fresh sourdough bread is served with a cheese "fondue" as you sit down. The service was fast and friendly. You'd never know the restaurant was this good by relying on the outside looks of it. The only complaint is that the dining room (there's a small funky bar when you go in) is over lighted. The height of the booths is over scaled and the old pictures are too high and crooked for those interested in interior refinements, but the food makes up for those ambiance issues. They should buy a dimmer though.

The Service is wonderful, true it can take a little bit more time than you expect on occasion, but this restaurant is worth every minute. From the soft, romantic atmosphere to the BEST Fondue you'll ever try, this is THE STEAKHOUSE. There's no need to even try a different one. I love Gus's and go as often as I can afford it. :)
