I would definitely like to recommend this company that I have used for my recent move. I went for a full-service move which was completed on time and without any mistakes. The movers were punctual and were very methodical. They completed the move as per schedule. They were accommodative in incorporating any last minute changes that we had.

Awesome Job Guys! – I used STI for a move from Round Lake to Chicago a few months ago. These guys were awesome! I have a teeny tiny gangway leading from both the front and back of my apartment and had no idea how my treadmill was going to fit through either. I voiced my concern to the foreman and he told me it wouldn't be a problem. They maneuvered through that little walkway with ease and not a scratch! I'll definitely be using these guys again for my next and hopefully last move!

I had the best moving experience with STI Moving . this is now the 3rd time I've moved in 3 years, and by far the quality and friendliness of the movers were better than the other companies I've dealt with. Steve and his team were amazing - on time, professional and extremely helpful, they all went above and beyond to help me and even waited for me when I was running a little bit behind. Overall great moving service for a reasonable price.

An absolute pleasure to work with! – This isn't the first time we have used STI Moving to move us...he is reliable, careful, courteous and incredibly fast! Just completed a long distance move from Milwaukee, WI to Los Angeles, CA and couldn't be more happy with their services. I worked with Martin and Solana in getting my price quote. I was provided a window for delivery since i was consolidated with other familes heading west. The movers arrived a few days ago and everythung was intact. With all the stress that's invloved with moving Sti movers really made my life a bit easier during my transition.

With the holiday season in full bloom and everyone running around i needed to move asap out of my terrible building. My anxiety was over the roof!! I did a quick search online for local movers and compared dozens, and found STI movers. Great reviews with a kind and understanding staff, i moved forward with them and moved 3 days later! They did their best to accomadate my schedule and fit me in an afternoon spot within minutes! So pleased with the crew on movin day also! Will recommend to friends and family!

Do not & I repeat Do not go w/ this moving company. We are still awaiting word on our furniture from Wisconsin to North Carolina. Every person we talk to from Donny to Adam has a different story. We are very close to bringing our attorney into this matter. They do not answer their phones -- a very, very unprofessional business in terms of customer service. That said the movers who moved us out of of our apartment were very thorough & kind. Now if we could only get our belongings . . .

Be careful with their warranty. I found out after they damaged my furniture the insurance does not cover IKEA furniture, They said, any high density fiber board is not covered. I signed for all the boxes being there except one. DO NOT SIGN THE PAPERWORK. YOU MUST INSPECT WHAT IS IN THE BOX EVEN IF IT IS SEALED. I found damage and missing items after opening the boxes. The first team was efficient and equipped with the right materials. The second team was a kid and an older guy. They arrived late prolonging the delivery until 11pm. It was very hard to see anything since my lamps were in the move. Started seemingly well and ended up a disaster. I will not use them again.

My Mom moved from Chicago to TX. The movers that picked up my Mom's things were on time and they were in and out within 2 hours. The problems we had were upon delivery. First we were told that the driver would be delivering her things on Friday and that the driver would call us to let us know what time he would deliver her things. Well, we didn't receive a call. So I follow up on Thursday, they told me they would call me back. I never received a call back on Thursday. I called again Friday morning, I told Adam that we never received a call from the driver. He told me he believed the driver was in Houston and he would give him a call and call me back. I never received a call back, I as the customer had to call again, they told me that the driver was having problems with another move in Houston, and they would call me later to let me know if he would be coming. They never called me back. I had to call them yet again. I talk to Martin next and he told me they would deliver later that day or on Saturday. The driver finally called my mother at 5:00 pm and asked what time would SHE like the furniture delivered on Saturday, she called him and left him a message and said between 8:00am and 10:00 am. He called her back and told her 10:00 am to 11:00. At this point we are frustrated. Why ask us what time we want it delivered if you are just going to give us your own time? My husband talks to the driver and asks him where he is right now, he becomes rude and tells my husband it doesn't matter where he is, but then tells him a lie that he is in Austin, TX. We already knew he was in Houston, so my husband tells him this. He tells my husband it doesn't matter what STI says, he is going to deliver the furniture when he delivers it. We call STI, and inform them of their driver. And they proceed to give us excuses about the how the drivers are tired etc... Excuse me, I don't want to hear about how tired the drivers are. I am paying my money to have my furniture delivered and they should know how to interact with customers. So the movers arrive on Saturday, NOT between 10:00 am and 11:30. But at 12:00 PM. Also when they arrived the driver smelled like alcohol. This is why they couldn't deliver my Mom's furniture on Friday. Also, after we witnessed the way they work, no wonder they only moved one person on Friday. There were three of them. The driver, Jason, took a nap. The other two moved the furniture. Then they took a BREAK after being there for 1 hour. We were their first stop!!!!! What kind of Business is this? STI, you need to hire better and professional Movers. You guys really need to do a better job hiring your drivers.

Moving with STI have been one of the most stressful and frustrating experiences in my life, I highly suggest you use any other moving company! It started off bad and just got worse and worse. To start they never called to gave a specific pick up time during my 3 day window like they said they would. On the 3rd day I called and finally got a specific time but they showed up late! You get a 1-10 day window for drop off, I was never told it only included business days and they pushed back the start on my drop off window by 2 days for no reason after I was told the window started on pick up day. Finally on day 16 after pick up or what they considered the end of my 10 day window I was told my delivery would be 3 days late even though I was told my truck was on its way. When the truck with my furniture finally came 19 days after pick up, the driver refused to pull into the gates of my apartment property. The driver showed up 2 hours late and was extremely rude. He wanted me to pay an extra $200 and wait even longer for him to find a smaller truck to bring on the property. I refused to do that and I even had the property manager tell him that she has seen large moving trucks have no problem entering the property before. The movers were being extremely unhelpful and did not want to do their job and move my stuff into my apartment. I showed them where my building was and that it was not far, I suggested that if he refuses to dive on to the property that he should move my stuff to my apartment from where he parked the truck. He refused to that even though I only live in the second building from the gate. The movers removed all of my furniture from the truck outside of the property and my boyfriend and I had to move all the the furniture and boxes from the truck into my apartment ourselves! The movers left my belongings on the side of the road in the rain for me to move! My dresser was damaged during the move. I had asked them to keep the blankets on the furniture (it was raining) and if I could use the dolly because moving materials was included in the price I paid. Again, the mover refused, after I said I would obviously return it all, but he said he did not want to wait for me to do his job and move my stuff. I paid for movers not just a truck driver. DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY TO MOVE!

STI is a moving company which overcharges you not by a couple hundred dollars, but by $1000 dollars (57% more than the originally quoted price!) Originally quoted $1,541; Actual cost $2,419!!!



The worst part of this whole experience was the $325 "shuttle fee" which I had no clue of until I called the company to deliver to the address I moved to. Because it was an out-of-state move from IL to PA, they had to move my stuff from the IL storage to a large commercial truck (which they gathered items from multiple customers) to drive across state. However that large commercial truck (those that you commonly see on large highways) would not fit on a regular residential type of roads. So they had to move the items from the large commercial truck to a regular U-haul type of truck/van -- which was the type of truck/van that they used when they moved my stuff out of my Chicago apartment. This moving items from one truck to another is a LOGISTIC procedure that any cross-state movers would have. The cost of this should NOT be added onto the customer (or at least be very clear at the beginning of the quote, which they did not mention such cost AT ALL). I feel forced into paying a lot of these "add-on" fees throughout the whole moving experience. When they already had my stuff, there wasn't much I could do except pay an extremely unfair price.
