Overall

This care giving service providing possibly the worst caregiver named Safia for my dad who is 69 years old. First of all I want to say that if any caregiver does not agree to do the tasks they are supposed to go per their employer, report Them immediately.
In the beginning my dad and my mom explained all the caregiver Safia duties. She also was given around 80 hours per month, about 20 hours a week after personally calling and begging my mom for a whole month saying she desperately needed the money. My mom feeling sorry for her agreed to take her on. (FYI my mom was authorized decision maker for my dad.) Normally a home caregiver is supposed to take the client to doctors appointments, go with them to buy groceries, clean the areas where they stay in the home, provide meds on time, bathe client, prepare meals, and take client for walks/physical activity. Of all these caregiver assignments, all Safia actually did was prepare meals and clean my dad living space. My mom being the extremely accommodating one agreed to do the grocery shopping, medications administration, bathing, taking my dad to all his doctors appointments, cutting his hair, nails, pressing his clothes worn daily, along other things. Imagine in a 20 hour workweek, caregiver does only two things: clean his living space and prepare meals.

Even after Just doing only these two tasks daily for a whole two months, this caregiver Safia has the nerve to tell my mom that since she is able to cook breakfast and that she should do it herself since she is not handicapped or physically unable! She also had the nerve to tell her husband while talking on the phone in front of my dad and mom that we are a degrading family and she doesn’t understand why Sahara home care Sent her to us! Mind you that my dad had an existing file with Sahara home care for over 2-3 years! Sahara, after hearing our complaints did nothing and did not terminate this caregiver and also continues to operate with the worst standard of care!!
