I have been visitng Senor Gomez for amost 10 years now - first off and on - now regularly every week. I have never ever been treated unpolitely. I can't believe it is true that one person insists of having been told to leave - not once but twice. Makes me wonder if he is even speaking of the same Senor Gomez restaurant that I am. I cannot for my life fathom a situation where anyone at this restaurant would be asked to leave. The staff at this cozy neighborhood restaurant is as friendly as you can imagine and the food is tasty and plenty. I can guarantee that as long as Senor Gomez recides in Simi Valley I will be going back over and over again.

This place is awesome. Great food, great margy's and an awesome patio. I recommend this place to anybody. And by the way, the bar area is a fantastic place to visit with family and friends following a perfect meal.

About a year ago, my sister & I dined here. We hadn't seen each other in awhile so we sat visiting at which point we were asked to leave by the hostess "because they needed to seat other people." A few months later, I met the owner's wife who later introduced me to her husband. I informed her that I was asked to leave; she was shocked & couldn't believe that happened. She asked him about it & informed me that he couldn't believe that happened.
About 5 months ago, I went again with my girlfriend. We were visiting after we finished our meal & the waiter asked if he could move us into the bar so that they could seat other people. I asked for the owner & they sent someone else thinking I didn't know who the owner was. Knowing who the owner was, I asked the man that arrived to speak to the owner. The owner came out. I reminded him that I met him & his wife a while back. At that time, I asked him if it was their policy to ask people to leave. He said they had alot of customers waiting who had reservations & they were getting mad. I point blank asked him, "Is it your policy to ask people to leave because you have other customers waiting?" He said, "I'm going to tell you, if you want to sit & visit, this is not the place to come. If you want to sit & visit, there's Don Cucos & El Toritos for that but our restaurant is not the place to come if you want to sit & visit." I told him I was appalled to be treated that way. I told him I had never been asked to leave a restaurant & I was very disappointed in his restaurant. I refuse to go back to a place that places money before customer service.

Good food. Good prices. Their lunch buffet is very well priced and pretty good if you are in the mood for a variety. Restaurant is clean and good size; includes indoor and outdoor seating.
