Banfield Pet Hospital

I took my cat, which is a new breed called a Cheetoh, to Banfield for an appointment. I told them over the phone when setting up the appointment that he is bred from a Bengal and an Ocicat. When I got there, they assumed he was a Bengal (they don't have Cheetoh OR Ocicat in their list of cat breeds) and told me first thing that if he's too wild, they won't see him. He is the sweetest thing, and yes, he didnt like the temp taking the first time (WHO WOULD?!?) but he was a champ for the shots! I can understand going by the "in general" personalities of breeds, but... they didn't even research this breed. I he cant have ketamine, which is used by most vets to put animals under. I told them that on the phone, at the first appt, AND at the second. It wasn't until AFTER I'd paid for their Wellness plan that they told me they can't do anything without ketamine and dont feel comfortable taking on such an "excotic" breed... HE'S NOT EXOTIC! Oh, and no refund. Nice. I would not recommend.

We recently had to put a cat down. This is not a easy thing to do, thankfully we were not emotionaly attached to the cat and had only had her for a short time. They quoted us just over $75.00 for the procedure. After being quite firm about the price i quoted i was charged $125.00 and that did not include them taking care of the body. they continued to say how sorry they were that the person who answered the phone did not give the right price but were not willing to stand behind their employees mistake. I will never go there again and plan on forwarding this review to Pets Mart who leases space to them.
