Horrible experience!! No wonder why there was not a single customer besides my self the whole afternoon I was there. Bought a groupon for color, haircut and conditioning for $59. Ended up paying $35 extra because my hair was too thick and another $30 for a blow dry I could have done better myself. They don' t even dry your hair after the haircut, means u get out of that place with your hair wet. After reading the other reviews, seems like the same experience as I had so they use the same strategy to get you to pay more than the groupon. Stay away!!!

Read all the bad reviews, including Groupon issues - got to say, they were as nice AND professional as could & should be (and I'm pretty picky). GREAT cut for my short hair, grew out amazingly well, lots of layers, perfect! They were attentive to what I wanted & not pushy ... not sure where the terrible reviews come from but I paid no extra from my Groupon & will go back as a regular client - booking again today.

This was the worst experience of my life. I purchased a groupon for full highlights and a cut, when I arrived at the salon Lucian right away told me my groupon could not cover the full highlights because I had too much hair and that I needed to pay extra and refuse the cut if I wanted the service (did not included drying my hair), which I did. I dried my hair once i got home and was shocked, the color was not even, it was a lot blonder on one side and 2" from roots where my natural color, when I called to reschedule an appointment to fix my hair I was told Lucien was too busy and he would call me back but he never did.

DO NOT GO to Salon Celine.

I purchased a Groupon for full highlights, hair conditioning treatment, and a hair cut. I was informed that my hair type was not the right type to receive the hair conditioning treatment and if I wanted a hair conditioning treatment I needed to pay $25 extra. But, wait I have a Groupon Package that I purchased which includes a hair condition treatment and the package did not specify that I needed a certain type of hair to receive this treatment. So, I didn't receive services I paid for. After the hair cut I was informed I had to pay $35 extra if I wanted my hair blowed dried. What ?? Highlights are horrible and I will have to have them re-done at a professional salon. This is the old bait and switch trick. However, in reality this is false advertising and illegal. Groupon needs to vet the companies they represent assuring their customers receive what they have paid for. Groupon stands the chance of losing the trust of their customers if they continue to allow companies such a Salon Celine to use false advertising in order to lure trusting customers into their shop. Groupon, TAKE Salon Celine off your site and scrutinize the companies you represent more carefully because your customers should receive what has been advertised and what they paid. If customers can not trust that Groupon will hold the companies they represent to provide the services advertised to their paying customers than Groupon has a bigger problem than Salon Celine.

STAY AWAY!!!! I purchased a Groupon to receive services but was greeted with a "BAIT & SWITCH dirty sales tactic when I went in and redeemed the Groupon. First of all, right off the bat, I was told that my hair was too long for the services INCLUDED in the deal. I replied with but "I want to cut my hair to well above my shoulders and advised him to cut my hair BEFORE he colored it if he thought it was going require too much product". That caught him (Lucien) off guard because the next thing he said was that my hair was too damaged to use the type of product covered by the Groupon. By this time, I knew it was a scam and he tries hard not to honor the very deal he signed up for. Needless to say, I will not be going back. I ended up paying an extra $40 for the WORST highlights I've ever had. I didn't observe the full extent of the badness until I got home. I know he knew I probably wasn't going to be happy because he said that a blow dry was not included in the deal and that it would and extra $35 for the blow dry. As absurd as it sounds, everyone knows that you CANNOT see the final outcome of the color until your hair is dry. I have NEVER gotten highlights without a blow-dry until this experience. I found out why after I got home and could examine my hair closely. It was brassy, uneven in color as well as distribution. Salon Celine is not worth your time, energy, or money. I called back to express my dissatisfaction and was treated in a defensive, rude manner. They were so busy at the time of my call, that they said Lucien would call me on Tuesday (I called on Friday). If you value either of these valuable resources you'll be better off to avoid Salon Celine. It really is true that you GET what you PAY for. Really, Really BAD.

Like Amy I also found this salon via Groupon. I regret this. I paid for a full highlights, cut, and conditioning treatment. After spending about 15 min with Lucien, choosing a color, narrowing it down, he informs me that my Groupon deal doesn't cover the color I chose and my hair was too long (my hair WAS just below shoulder length and additionally nothing was said of these cirterias in the fine print). He then said if I wanted to continue with my current color he would have to charge me an additional $40. I declined this and told him to give me whatever this supposed offer does cover. He then proceeds to tell me that because my hair is a certain color that it wouldn't do well. I told him to do a partial with the color I chose and cut my hair - I just wanted out at this point. He also tried to push products off on me during this appointment, which I don't need nor want. Lastly, he told me the offer I took only covers a basic haircut (again not in the fine print), which he didn't need to tell me because I just wanted the ends trimmed and my bangs recut in the proper angle. The highlights are horrible looking. The color is beautiful but they look like something a kid in high school could do. I've gotten very quizical looks from people I work with. I will be heading to the grocery store this weekend to get a boxed dye to cover this up to some extent.



Overall, maybe they will treat you differently if you are a full price paying customer, but apparently if you walk in there with Groupon you won't get the full deal. I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

I found this salon when they offered a deal on cut and color via groupon. The owners reapeatedly told me I was rapidly losing my hair and that if I wanted to prevent it, I needed to buy a bunch of expensive hair products.

I can't afford to get my hair done often, and when I do, I want to walk out feeling better about how I look, not worse.

While I like how my hair turned out, being pressured nonstop to buy products I can't afford and being warned repeatedly that I'm rapidly losing my hair, left me feeling miserable. Not what I'm looking for in a salon.

I would highly recommend avoiding this salon.

I got to know salon Celine through a google offer. With no expectation, I thought that I would give a try to this new salon located in silver spring. Lucien, the owner was my stylist. Before he did any work on my hair, we had a brief consultation about the hairsyle and color I would like to achieve. It took me a while to figure it out but

Lucien was very patient with me. He mentioned that he has over 25 years in the hair salon industry. He has a good eye on selecting color according to the person's face shape, style and requirements. I was very happy with the result in terms of coloring and hairstyle. I got a lot compliments at work next day. I am so glad that I found this place. I would recommend everyone to give a try ! If you google this salon, there are a lot of positive reviews on yellowpages.com. I'm sure that the reason behind it is the quality of his work. I was satisfied and impressed!

Lucien gave me a great haircut, and picked a great color for my hair. I have never been to a better stylist or colorist. I have never received so many compliments on my hair! Call and ask for Lucien - you will be happy you did!

I have been going to Lucien for years. He is professional, listens to my needs and provides recommendations related to cut and hair color that fit my lifestyle and desires. He has kept my long hair looking beautiful. His recommendation for specific products is always done with regard to my concerns and is never done with any sales pressure. The salon is immaculate, stylish and modern. I have had to rarely wait for a my pre-scheduled appointment time.
