Overall
"I nails was pulled off"

Here's the deal. I'm not really a nail person. On a whim, I decided to get acrylics a while back, and was perfectly fine to let them grow out on their own (despite the fact that it looked pretty stupid). Then I heard that I got a very important job interview and (since I truly despised my job at the time) decided that I couldn't let the trashy half-grown out nails be the reason that I didn't get the position. So I was desperate.

This is where Fantasy Nails comes in. They were highly recommended by a friend and the woman who tended to me was very nice at first. Anyway, I got a full set of nail done by this lady for the job interview - and when I got home, I found that I can not type as fast and accurate on the computer, it was heavy, and I just feel weird. So, I went back over there the next morning to take the nail off & simply get a manicure. The same lady assist me- she took me into her station, She pulled out another fake nail from her drawer and said that she was going to get mine off. Great, I thought.

Then she proceeded to introduce me to her method of fake nail removal, which involved running the other nail in between my real and fake nails. I don't know if you are picturing this accurately, but it hurt -- it hurt a lot. A tear came to my eye. After a few more nails and excrutiating pain, I asked if we could talk about this. Maybe if there was soaking of some sort? I am a nail novice, by admission, but it just didn't seem right. The woman smiled, nodded, and laughed at me. I felt we weren't connecting.

Because it was close to closing and I was in a bind, I was forced to endure the entire 10 nails. They ached after she was done and she painted them hastily. My nails looked messy!

I called my friend,(the one that told me about the place) and told her what happened- she told me that she would go with me over there after work to make sure that my nails are done properly. I asked her if she would take me somewhere else -because I was not comfortable going back to Fantasy. So we went to this other salon, I got another set of nails put on- it was nothing like the one I got, very natural and comfortable!

If you are thinking of going for Fantasy-DON"T

Overall
not fantasy at all

My mother I was in a rushed one day and Fantasy was on our way to DC. We want into Fantasy. I got a full set of nails and a pedicure and my mom got manicure and pedicure. Our experienced at Fantasy wasn't good. . The girl in the front counter was a mess. The lady doing my pedicure dropped her file on the floor when doing my nails, picked it up & act as if nothing was wrong. I told her not to clip the sides of my toe nails- because that causes ingrown and she did it anyway. She give the worst set of acrylic ever, it was too thick. My hands felt really heavy and uncomfortable. I had to stop by another nail salon at the end of the day to fix my nails.

My moms' pedicure was good, she liked it. But the guy doing here maniure was horrible! He was looking around, moving, and running his mouth all at the same time, while doing her manicure.

We would never go back to Fantasy Nails. Identity salon and spa across the street is much , much better. Amy was great! She took her time and fixed my nails. I had to wait for more than 30 minutes because she was the only one in there that does acrylic nails, but it was good that I waited. Amy have not only make my day, but she also give me the best set of nails ever.
