Behavioral Counseling
In 2003, a large building expansion was completed at the Sidney location. The new facility added the needed room for already present medical services, like surgery and intensive care. It also accommodated additional diagnostics, like state of the art ultrasound and echocardiography, as well as services, like pet behavior consultations and obedience classes. Routine care and surgery were still done at both locations, but special procedures, tests, or intensive treatments would be referred to the Sidney hospital.
Comprehensive Examination
At the Community Veterinary Clinic, we try to make pet vaccines affordable to anyone, since they, like human vaccines for Hepatitis, Diptheria, or the Mumps, have greatly reduced the incidence of deadly pet diseases. It’s heart rending and frustrating to see a client spend hundreds of dollars or have a beloved pet die from a disease that could have been prevented with a $22 vaccine or treated if caught early with a thorough physical exam.

Dental Surgery
Plaque or tartar development is the most common cause of dental disorders in pets. Periodontal disease has been estimated to affect 90% of dogs and cats over 2 years of age, and it essentially starts with accumulation of dental plaque. The infection in your pet’s mouth will spread to the vital organs (kidneys, liver, and heart). Routine home care is the most efficient way to prevent accumulation of plaque. Routine dental care includes appropriate diet, dental chews, home care, and teeth cleanings with fluoride treatments. Our doctors effectively manage your pet’s dental health, prescribe antibiotics when needed for infection, use a high-tech ultrasonic scaler for routine teeth cleanings, and perform extractions during oral surgery.
Veterinary Surgery
Whether routine elective surgery like a spay or neuter, or complicated orthopedic surgery like a cruciate ligament repair, we are good at what we do. Dr. Current stresses that Anesthesia is the most important thing we do in our hospital.

Laboratory Services
A senior preventive care check includes a physical exam, a complete blood count, blood chemistries, thoracic radiographs, and a urinalysis.

Hi there! I’m Brooke and I’m a Veterinary Nurse here at Community Veterinary Clinic. Since I can remember, I’ve been an animal person. My family used to call me the ‘animal whisperer’ growing up as animals have always been drawn to me, and me to them. I’m a mom to three beautiful fur-babies named Tofu, Sriracha and Drax. I’m from Grove City, Ohio and moved to Dublin in October of 2021. Before starting at CVC, I managed a dog daycare and had 4 years experience in the dog daycare/boarding industry. I LOVE working with animals no matter the context, but it feels great to be able to help our beloved pets and their families live a healthy, happy life together.
