Katherine F. Szema, MD is a board-certified diplomateof the American Board of Pediatrics and the AmericanBoard of Allergy and Immunology. Dr. Szema received herundergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvaniaand her doctorate of medicine from Jefferson MedicalCollege of Thomas Jefferson University. She completedher residency in Pediatrics and Fellowship in Allergy andImmunology at The New York Presbyterian Hospital/WeillCornell Medical Center where she received concurrenttraining in Pediatric Pulmonology.Prior to joining ENT and Allergy Associates, Dr. Szemawas Chief of Pediatric Ambulatory Care and AssociatePediatric Residency Program Director at Lincoln Medicaland Mental Health Center in the Bronx, NY and practicedadult and pediatric Allergy and Immunology and generalPediatrics. She has an academic appointment as AssistantProfessor of Clinical Pediatrics of Weill Cornell MedicalCollege and has received multiple honors in recognition ofher work related to clinical care, research, and teaching.Dr. Szema treats both adult and pediatric patients fora wide variety of allergic and immunologic conditionsincluding allergic rhinoconjunctivitis, sinusitis, atopicdermatitis, drug and food allergies, and urticaria. She isa board-certified Asthma Educator (AE-C) and her areasof expertise include management of adult and pediatricpatients with seasonal and perennial allergies andpersistent asthma. She speaks Spanish and Mandarin.
