My mother is a senior citizen and a patient, and as usual, I accompanied her to her appointment. Evidently, dr Greenwood (and I use the term "dr" loosely) was having a bad day. When my mom asked him a question, he didn't try to hide his frustration and basically told her it seemed every time she came, he had to repeat himself. When I asked him was he indeed frustrated, he told me that I was younger than she was and what was my excuse for asking the same questions as my mom!! Whhaaattt??!! It was one of those surreal things that happen in your life, that if you tried to explain what happened, no one would believe you! If I hadn't been there myself, I don't think I would have believed what I heard with my own two ears!! I was so shocked, I was speechless!!! My immediate thought was, if he talks like this to a senior citizen WITH a family member in the room, is he talking to seniors like this when they come by themselves??!!! It wasn't until he saw me crying out of anger (because of his audacity and idea that it was ok to talk to anyone like that!) that he tossed a half-ass apology, stating that he was going through some personal issues. One thing we did agree on is that it was NO EXCUSE! Needless to say, my mother WILL NOT be going back to this rude, impatient, and sorry excuse for a doctor! I won't let her be subjected to his abuse again! He is a BULLY!!This happened about 6 months ago, and we're STILL recovering from the shock!! If I could give him a rating of 0 (zero) I would!!
