Dr. Ronald A Woods, MD

Center for Family Medicine does not abide by the terms of the managed care contract for denied charges. I had 2 charges ($130 and $110) that my insurance company repeatedly told them to write off and stop billing me but they refused. In both cases, they did not provide the insurance company what they needed. I lost my doctor of 20 years as I refuse to pay more than I am suppose to. I pay enough for the insurance premium without the doctor ripping me off. If their billing dept were competent, this would not happen.

Dr. Woods is a great family doctor who in my opinion cares greatly about his patients. If this review was just based on him alone he would get a 5 from me but it's not. The billing department at the Center for Family Medicine is the worst I have ever delt with. My wife decided to go to a different doctor for personal reasons, out of nowhere she apperently owed the office money for unpaid office deductibles. We have two insurance companies and one pays for the deductible. The billing office sent a letter of dismissal to my wife through certified letter. The letter did not have my name on it so I couldn't pick it up from the post office. The letter was telling me that I and the rest of my family was being dismissed because "that's their policy". Very long story short, Dr. Woods is a very good doctor, the people he works with are not! This is the nicest way I could put it.
