My children have seen Dr. Griffin for years. Yes you would have to sit a long time in her office, she herself was what I thought an honest, good dr. I guess I was wrong. I called for an appointment for my sick 4 year old. They told me to be there at 10:30 am. My husband took my daughter up there and the front desk said that we owe $300 for a shot given in 2010 and the insurance did not cover. My understanding was that this bill had been taken care of already, but I would have to find my proof and being so old it was going to take me a little bit. They refused to see my sick child. First why would your office give a brand of a shot my insurance wouldn't cover, and then why am I just now hearing about the bill still being owed, and the BIGGEST issue, why wouldn't you treat a sick child? So I contacted Dr. Griffin directly to inquire if she was ok with this and if this is what she stands for, within two days, I have now received a letter that they are dropping my child as a patient!

Dr. Griffin has seen my daughter now for almost 6 months and I have been rather pleased with the service provided. Since my dealing with a RUDE front desk staff, I will no longer have any desire for my daughter to be seen by this office. This lady needs to understand that lack of wealth does not deserve unfair treatment for patients because they are on medicaid. I hope one day Dr. Griffin finds out about this and then employee more understanding individuals . I have on more than one occasion heard employees making fun of patients and now I guess I will be one of them. Hope they have a good laugh because now I will be spreading word about this office!

My children have been going to Dr. Kaylene Griffin, MD for over 10 years and her medical staff is GREAT. There is one older nurse that I feel like should have retired 10 years ago, but otherwise the medical staff is wonderful. However the problem not with her medical staff, but her office staff SUCKS! They are in dire need of customer/client/patient customer service training. I am not sure if they are jaded because they mainly work with low-income families, but my children have went there when I had private insurance, paid out of pocket and Medicaid and the customer service is equally POOR. I have been to several doctors office in my lifetime and their office staff is the worse I have ever experienced. I had considered changing pediatricians on many occasions, but I like Dr. Griffin and her medical staff enough to continue using her. If I based it solely on her office staff I would change doctors.
