Blue Moon Cafe

I've gone to the blue moon for years. It's lovely, has a very unique atmosphere, and even for a vegetarian some amazing food n.n I personally suggest the philly shroom sub, it's absolutely delicious <3

I used to go to the Blue Moon all the time but today marks my final visit. The food that I got was TERRIBLE! I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and the bacon was raw. I ordered some mac & cheese for my son and the cheese was congealed and gross. My 19-month-old, who truly will eat practically anything, wouldn't go near it. When I told the waitress about the problems with the meal, she did remove the mac & cheese from the bill but did nothing about the inedible bacon cheese burger.



When my husband went up to the register to further complain about the bacon issue - seriously someone could get sick over the way this was served-he was told by the extremely rude older woman behind the cash register that he was lucky they even took the mac & cheese off the bill.



Yes, the Blue Moon is a quaint little out-of-the-way restaurant but, like many of the other reviews here agree, the service is always hit or miss and the food is much the same these days I suppose. I will never go there again after the way we were treated today, there are many other more reliably friendly restaurants that will be gettting my money in the Shepherdstown/Martinsburg area that I won't have to take a chance with everytime I walk into them that the food just might be ok today. Money is too tight these days for a whole lot of people and going out for lunch or dinner is a treat that we have to budget for and to be treated like that and have the food be THAT BAD is inexcusable. BYE BYE BLUE MOON!!!
