Foolish Heart Kennels

The owner knows what she is ding and is passionate about making sure the animals are well cared for and healthy throughout the duration of their stay at the facility. She keeps staff up-to-date on all need to know info on pets and their specific needs to make sure each animal is comfortable and cared for. I have worked with this facility and take my animals here for boarding whenever my family goes out of town. Angry people will say anything to drag the company name through the mud when there is no backing to their tales. Let your own experience and those of other long-time customers speak for themselves to show this facility is one of the best in the area and rest assured your animals are well cared for and looked after while you are away.

STAY AWAY!!!!!! If I could give it a half star I would... owner of FH lies to pet owners about pets getting hurt or passing away on the premise. Treats employees like slaves and lies to them, also telling them to lie to an owner about how their pet died. Owner of FH is never down taking care of your pets, and will send anyone down there to do it, even if they are untrained and making her office people train new people (which is not fair to that employee). Dogs are kept in the summer and winter boarded in the barn with no air/electric to help keep them cool or heat in the winter to keep them warm. Even if there is heat or air,(which again there is nothing in the barn) she tells us to turn it off then complains about the bills being too high to be able to keep the animals and employees comfortable. Kennel runs are very rusted and sharp on one side of the kennel, extremely dangerous for the animals in there. Owner doesn't even leave her own dog there because she says her employees are too incompetent and will kill him. I feel like this post could keep going, and if you couldn't tell I am a former employee. As a pet owner myself, I feel I need to let other people know how their animals are really kept at this place because with what I have personally seen. If any of these things happened to me as a pet mom, I would be calling anyone I could to get this place shut down. Only good thing about this place is MOST of the employees are very nice.

I have used this facility for boarding and grooming services. The staff is great and ensures my dog has a pleasant experience. The owner is very professional, cordial and friendly. She truly cares about her customers and our pets.

I started taking my puppy there in 2011. It is a great farm atmosphere with some of the techs from Clemson who take good care of the animals. Many people in my subdivision use the facility for boarding and grooming. The owner is rightly selective about the dogs she will board. In fact, to board there you have to take your dog in for a few hour stay to be evaluated for aggressive or nonsocial behaviors. I think this is a great idea and appreciate the owner’s diligence in protecting our precious pets. LOVE this facility and so do ALL of the DOGS in our subdivision who board there!

If I could I would give them no stars at all I would. I brought my boxer mix there with all of his veterinary paper work and they told me they would not take my dog in for any boarding, day care, or grooming services because he looked like he might have pit in him. They said it didn't mater how well trained or socialized he was his instinct could come out at any time and he will attack. My dogs name is Foreman he is a mut I am sure he could have some pit in him but through out his life he has lived with my cat my roommate's 2 other cats, a jack rustle terror, two lab puppies that have now grown up around him and we are regulars at the local dog park. We also have strangers and large crowds at our apartment on a regular basis. He has NEVER made an aggressive move on any of them. If anything he is the most patient dog I have ever seen play with puppies as they pull on his ears and lips making small scratches with there razor sharp teeth he still doesn't mind. I have seen my 3 and 4 year old baby cousins torture him with there games and he still behaves himself ever though he rarely sees children because I am a college student. It infuriates me that someone with a business involving dogs is so ignorant they believe a gene that is linked to body build it also linked to some explosive unpredictable instinct to kill. I hope every time they see a person who clearly goes to the gym they think that person might snap and kill someone one day too because it is essential the same logic.

I have used Foolish Heart Farm quite a lot for both boarding & grooming. The staff are pet oriented & make sure the dogs have fun & a pleasant experience. Recommend this facility to my friends.
