After recently traveling back from Colorado to the Sellersville/Perkasie area for our wedding, we were in need of the second flu booster shot for our puppy, Ziggy.

We called all the Vet’s in the area who wanted to charge us for a doctor visit in addition to the shot price, but since he had just been seen in CO we did not require it. When we called, Rockhill was the only vet willing to wave the fee!...

Except they didn’t. Despite calling them 2 weeks ahead of time (twice) to ensure they would only charge for the booster shot (“$28 is the most you will pay.” -direct quote from reception), they charged us the entire doctor fee simply because Dr. Derstine handled the dog herself and gave the shot.

When my wife went to pay the bill, reception was unapologetic about our previous conversation and forced her to pay the entire vet visit price but were willing to give $10 off...

This place is scammy. They may treat your dog fine, but can’t help the humans in a special situation whatsoever and our unapologetic about doing so. Perhaps I should walk in there dressed like a dog and maybe my service would be better.

Ratings: I have no doubt these folks are certified vets, hence the 4 stars for expertise, however professionalism is obviously lacking.

Rockhill Vet is an awsome vet. They are so nice to my dogs. The staff gives them treats and lots of attention so my dogs and i love going there. No complaints

The people who work here much love their job! My newly adopted dog is especially difficult to work with, probably because of previous experiences, and they have tried something new every single time I've gone in to try to help him be more comfortable while they give him a shot or examine him. Their scheduling works out pretty well. They seem to have lots of clients, so once in a while I might wait just a bit longer for my appointment, but I know that sometimes there's something extra with my dog that they want to check, so I don't mind waiting another couple minutes to go in. Besides, the other owners are always very friendly in the waiting area, and love sharing stories about their pet. Overall, wonderful staff members, wonderful doctors, the assistants are always cheerful, they explain each procedure and medication very clearly before you leave. I'll never go anywhere else.
