Gynecology
Urogynecology is a specialized field of gynecology that deals with female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery. Urogynecologists are doctors who diagnose and treat pelvic floor conditions such as weak bladder or pelvic organ prolapse (your organs drop because the muscles are weak), urinary incontinence (or leakage), recurrent urinary tract infections, mesh-related pain or complications, voiding difficulty, urinary retention, interstitial cystitis, painful intercourse, blood in urine, accidental bowel leakage, and uro-genital fistula

Internal Medicine
I have always had an integrative holistic approach to medicine. Over the years I have cared for cancer patients and patients with HIV/AIDS. These experiences have taught me the importance of supporting the entirety of the mind and body in the healing process. I specialize in internal medicine – the treatment of acute and chronic illnesses in adults and the understanding of wellness, disease prevention, and the promotion of health.

She believes in a well-rounded holistic approach to patient care and pelvic floor disorders and considers it her privilege to be involved in each patient's journey towards health.

Mental Health
In my practice I specialize in treating mental health issues. My approach is holistic – combining counseling with nutritional, herbal and lifestyle supportive measures. I also utilize guided imagery, relaxation, yoga and meditation techniques. I work with people with a wide variety of depression and anxiety disorders. Over the years I have come to specialize in working with trauma, both past and present. I also work with people who are primarily struggling with a chronic physical illness, but are feeling stuck in their progress. Often there are subtle mental, emotional or spiritual issues that are a part of their physical illness, and by addressing these, people find that positive changes come more easily.

I also have a specialty in medical oncology: the treatment of patients with cancer. I believe strongly in the value of traditional chemotherapy, radiation therapy and surgery, but I also realize the importance of adjunctive nutritional and non-traditional modes of treatment. I believe each person is a unique human being and treatment approaches need to be tailored to the individual to accommodate their situation, needs, and beliefs. I am happy to work in collaboration with other health care professionals to achieve a balanced approach to treatment. I am fortunate to work at the Seattle Healing Arts Center where there is an abundance of alternative health care practitioners including acupuncture, chiropractic, herbal medicine, massage therapy, naturopathy, nutrition, physical therapy, and counseling with whom I can collaborate.
