At your first appointment, your physical therapist will perform a thorough evaluation based on your history and current presentation. We will work closely with your referring medical provider to ensure that your rehab progresses as smoothly as possible. Treatments for your injury may include modalities such as electrical stimulation and ultrasound, manual therapy techniques, strengthening exercises, movement analysis, and ergonomic assessments and education.

Orthopedics
The physical therapists at GPT focus primarily on orthopedics. This includes sprains, strains, ACL or other ligamentous injury, post-operative care, and sport injuries. Because our offices are in the middle of vibrant Seattle neighborhoods, we tend to see many families with elementary, middle, and high school aged students recovering from sports injuries. We generally see children 8 years or older.

You are with your therapist one-on-one for 45 minutes. For your first visit, your therapist will do a thorough evaluation of your injury, and discuss your concerns, goals, prognosis, and recommended treatment plan, in addition to beginning your treatment. Subsequent visits may include manual therapy, the development of an exercise program, patient education, and the application of modalities to assist you toward your goals.
