Bright Horizons at University Village

I have mixed feelings about this daycare. In one hand the daycare is very well located (although inconvenient when looking for parking in the middle of the day). On the other hand this daycare is extremely expensive. At almost 1800/month for infants you would expect some things are complementary, but it is not the case. If you want extra curricular activities, they will charge them. If you want to take your baby out for the summer or vacation, they will charge you as usual just to secure the spot (which is expected from other daycares, but at this price you would expect that they could afford to offer some other solutions).

About the care, which is the most important thing, well let's just say that the price is not justified. The teachers wait until the babies are over tired to put them in the crib. Once I found my baby sleeping in the carpet. Several times I found my baby with a dirty diaper at pick up time. I would advice you to hire a nanny for this price, they usually charge around 10/hour.

Their facilities are beautiful, the place is basically new. However from the first time I went there, I sensed that their main focus was the business/money. I was not sure if I wanted that daycare, but like a lot of other parents in the area I had no choice. The offer for daycare does not supply the demand and professional parents are let with no other choice but to pick these types of daycares that strangle your pocket because with the daycare market as is, they just can.
