Preventive Care

Dental Care
Once a year, you should take your pet in for a check-up. This will include a full physical exam, and may include a recommendation of a dental cleaning. Dr. Gladney will check the health of your pet from nose to tail and do his best to address any concerns you may have.
Vaccination
Arrival/Vaccinations Policy: Even thought we make every effort to make our patients comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings, and other pets. This is one of the reasons we ask you to please have your pet on a leash or in a carrier. This is for your protection, that of others, and for the comfort of your pet. We require our boarders and grooming patients to be up to date on (Canines) Rabies, Lepto, Bordetella, & Distemper/Parvo. (Felines) Rabies, Leukemia, & Feline Distemper.
Behavioral Counseling

An overdose of these medications can cause your pet to suffer significant side effects-some being long term internal damage. Please keep all medications, prescription and over the counter, in a safe place out of your pet's reach.

Laboratory Services
We offer three levels of in-house blood testing before surgery, which we will go over with you when you bring your pet in. Our doctors prefer the more comprehensive screen, because it gives them the most information to ensure the safety of your pet. For geriatric or ill pets, additional blood tests, electrocardiograms, or x-rays may be required before surgery as well.
