Scranton Orthopedic Specialists

I refuse to make an appointment here (not that it's easy to even make an appointment here). I called twice, sat on the phone for 45 minutes. Once to be hung up on by the rude receptionist named Ann. Hi Ann hope you're reading this. I think they need to make some changes to their nasty receptionist. The receptionist(s) make the first impression on the business and they left a salty, bitter, and aggravating taste in my mouth. I am above and beyond frustrated. Frustrated, annoyed, and aggravated are all understatements for how I feel right now. I know Scranton is one of the most unhappiest places to live in this country but how about trying to change that bitter attitude of yours. I did not cause your horrible day nor does a new client deserve your attitude. I work in a law firm where people are way more aggravating and I would never take it out on another client. I HIGHLY suggest going somewhere else. If the receptionist isn't going to care about you do you think the Dr. is going to give two squats about you? I do not think so. Scranton Orthopedics needs some MAJOR attitude adjustments before I would EVER consider making and appointment there.

Once I received a call back everything went without incident. An expedient appointment, nice receptionist and nurses. Dr Ghigarelli listened, was cordial, open and honest! For such an extensive facility I was treated like a person rather than a number! Thank you

My two new knees from Scranton ortho and my surgeon Dr.Harry Smultz have given my life back to me. I would never be riding my horses or planting my garden again if I hadn't been to their practice. God Bless you

I called to make an appointment with a knee specialist and they told me that I was a second opinion so they would have to check with the doctor. Apparently I wasn't worthy enough for them. It took them a week to call me back and the receptionist left a message that stated "The doctor does not wish to see you at this time" . That would be ok if for some reason they were not excepting new patients but if you're taking the message you obviously are accepting new patients. I never did call back to find out why they wouldn't accept me but I have great insurance, I've only seen one orthopedic and it happened to be in the ER, and I'm only in my 20's. Personally anyone that is going to an orthopedic is a second opinion, not sure how they pick and choose their clients. I also work in a medical field and unserstand that you can't see everyone but at least find a good reason!!! Even though my insurance would pay for anything I wouldn't want my insurance to give them 10cents!!!!
