Joanna became a medical assistant in 2013 starting in family practice and subsequently focusing on womenâ€™s health care. Joanna has been working in Obstetrics and Gynecology over the last 2 years. Joanna is one of the hardest working, dedicated, and respectful individuals you will have the pleasure of getting to know. She loves caring for our patients and has a special aptitude and interest in assisting with medical procedures. Joanna is married and a mom of three boys. She loves animals and has two ferrets, two dogs, and two guinea pigs. She is very creative and loves making jewelry.
Urinary Incontinence
Advances in surgical techniques are giving women more options to consider when discussing gynecological issues with their physician. The physicians at North Scottsdale Women's Care can recommend a variety of treatment options, and only perform surgery when absolutely necessary. New procedures like the robotic Da Vinci Hysterectomy, endometrial ablation for heavy bleeding, Essure surgical sterilization procedure and urinary sling procedure for the treatment of urinary incontinence are all minimally invasive procedures with quicker recovery times.

She always has a smile on her face and goes that extra mile for each patient. Crystal has an abundance of experience in Obstetrics and loves following our obstetric patients through their pregnancy and postpartum care. Endometriosis
The full spectrum of gynecologic care is provided including basic infertility evaluation and treatment, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, osteoporosis and hormone therapy. Utilizing the latest technology, we provide minimally invasive surgical procedures when necessary. We offer in office endometrial ablation for the treatment of heavy bleeding, as well as in office Essure procedures for those women needing permanent contraception. We have specialized training in advanced laparoscopy, as well as, Robotic Da Vinci hysterectomies, and urinary sling procedures for the treatment of urinary incontinence. These minimally invasive surgeries allow a much quicker recovery time for our patients.

Ultrasound
Karley Maurer, RDMS, has over 20 years experience in Ob/Gyn ultrasound. She has a special interest in high risk Obstetric ultrasound, and has spent many years working with a large perinatology office. She is certified in nuchal translucency, a highly sensitive first trimester ultrasound for detecting chromosomal anomalies, such as Downâ€™s Syndrome. Karley is married and has a daughter and two dogs. She enjoys hiking, tennis and snow skiing.

In office procedures include endometrial ablation for the treatment of heavy bleeding, and Essure surgical sterilization. When indicated these procedures are available in our office for the convenience of our patients. These nonincisional procedures afford our patients a quicker recovery with less pain.

Dr. Schlecht truly enjoys all aspects of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She loves delivering babies, and caring for her patients at every age. She graduated from one of the leading training facilities in gynecologic laparoscopic surgery, and enjoys keeping abreast of the most current minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries. She has served on the executive Ob/Gyn committee at Scottsdale Healthcare. She is a wife and mother of three children. She enjoys traveling, running, spinning and photography.
