Overall
Not your typical vet; in a good way

This vet is great. He is obviously doing this because he cares about the animals. You will not find an immaculate waiting room or a bright shiny smile when you walk in. That is because it is a small operation where the focus is on the animal. I seems to be a Mom and Pop operation where the doctor works on the animal as well as the front desk and the phones. They dont waste your money on fancy waiting rooms and receptionists. I appreciate a vet who is there to fix your animal and not to create a reson for markup wherever possible. I have brought my cats there several times. He is quick to treat the animal and will always give you a straight answer, even when it is not what you want to hear. I was tired of going to the Petsmart Vet where they trated your animal like a number but a paitient. There is another reviewer here that was upset because there were not detailed records of their pets stay. This is because the Dr. was most likely constantly around, instead of a high school kid vet tech making checkmarks on a standardized form. If you want a fancy lookinf office with a lot of employees that cost way too much, go to your typical vet. If you want someone who loves animals and will treat them and you with respect, even if they arent smiling, go to this vet. They work to hard and on too many animals to waste time trying to make you feel good about yoursel. After all it is about your pet, at least it should be. Go to this vet if you love your pet. If you just want a happy office visit and someone who doesn't giva a damn about your animal go somewhere else.

Overall
Horrible Service!

I would never recommend anyone bringing their pet here, especially cats. My kitten was hospitalized with them for 5 days and when I initially brought him, the Dr. said very carelessly "Cross your fingers he pulls through". They did not call me once to let me know how he was doing. When I asked if they could call me their response was, "You can call us once we are closed." They were very short, rude and defensive every time I called, just to see if he had made any progress.

Since it was over a holiday weekend, I asked them to call me when they were closed since I didn't know what time they would be in to check on him. The Dr. said he would call early in the morning. By 1:30 pm I had not heard from him and so I called and he was just then there taking care of them and did not acknowledge it at all.

When I was able to bring him home, I asked for his records and they said they just gave him fluids and anti-biotics and had nothing written down that I could take with me. Which makes me think they weren't really keeping track of his daily progress very well. Plus he came home with a wound on his arm with fur missing where they put his catheter in! I've never seen this lack of care from a vet before, you don't put tape directly on the skin.

In addition to their lack of customer service and their bad attitude in caring for my kitten, their office does not appear very clean at all. When the Dr. was going to look at my kitten's ears, he wiped out the instrument with a q-tip, nothing else! Plus I didn't see any signs of them wiping or cleaning anything down from the dog that was in there before us.

It is very small and unorganized. If they knew anything about cats, they would carry wet food to offer their clients and they don't.

You will regret it if you go here!

#1 Vet

I could not have found a better vet... Four Peaks Animal Clinic was referred to me by the animal shelter I got my new dog from and I really couldn't be happier. My little dog has been treated with such excellent care. The vet has kept me very informed and his is so caring for my little animal since he had to have his tail amputated because of a tumor. If you have been looking for a vet Four Peaks is the best.
