Can’t recommend due to lack of communication, failing to provide services for which he was paid for and repeatedly lying

I contacted C L Barr to represent my daughter and I in a harassment case. He quoted $1100 fees “including the filing fees”;it would all take “2-3” days” I sent the entire payment immediately via cash app.
July 29
Asked for update; daughter received more texts in the interim and the individual had physically attacked another person and made death threats. No response.
July 30
Called Attorney Barr, he said he would call back in about 1.5 hrs. About 3 hrs later he called but had no updates.
Aug 5
Asked for update. He said he would have one that afternoon. Didn’t hear back

Contacted again. He apologized and stated a hearing was scheduled on Aug 12th

Contacted to confirm hearing was still on and he stated it was canceled; awaiting a new date.

contacted about new hearing date. He said he would find out the next day. Didn’t hear back.

contacted after no communication for many days and asked for a refund. I also found out that AZ does not charge for filing fees for this case although he quoted this in his fees. He said he would call to discuss

Attorney Barr arranged a time to speak with me by phone for Aug 27th.

Attorney Barr does not call at appointment time. I wait 5 hours after missed appointment to contact him. He said I will receive a full refund in “1-2 weeks” as he has to clear with his accountant.

I have not received my funds nor have I heard from him. Worst, my daughter and I did not receive justice or protection; I will file legal malpractice with State Board of AZ
