Mental Health
Health Oversight Activities. We may release your health information to government agencies authorized to conduct audits, investigations, and inspections of our facilities. These government agencies monitor the operation of the health care system, government benefit programs such as Medicare and Medicaid, and compliance with government regulatory programs and civil rights laws. Lawsuits and Disputes. We may disclose your health information if we are ordered to do so by a court or administrative tribunal that is handling a lawsuit or other dispute. We may also disclose your information in response to a subpoena, discovery request, or other lawful request by someone else involved in the dispute, but only if required judicial or other approval or necessary authorization is obtained. Law Enforcement. Radiology
Certain Services at an In-Network Hospital or Ambulatory Surgical Center: When you receive services from an in-network hospital or ambulatory surgical center, certain providers at the facility may be out-of-network. In these cases, the most those providers may bill you is your plan’s in-network cost-sharing amount. This applies to emergency medicine, anesthesia, pathology, radiology, laboratory, neonatology, assistant surgeon, hospitalist or intensivist services. These providers cannot balance bill you and may not ask you to waive your protections from balance billing. If you receive other services at these in-network facilities, out-of-network providers cannot balance bill you, unless you provide written consent and waive your protections.

On May 11, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. both federal and state COVID-19 public health emergencies will end. We at Cohasset Pediatrics have decided to join other Boston area healthcare settings by adjusting our masking protocols. Starting May 12, 2023, we will no longer require universal masking for healthy patient visits. These visits include but are not limited to, physical exams, vaccines, sports injuries, etc. Patients without respiratory symptoms are allowed to come directly into our waiting room without calling from the parking lot ahead of time.
