Merle Norman Cosmetics

I have been wearing Merle Norman products for many, many years. When my Merle Norman studio closed in Hammond because of Saint Margret's Hospital expansion. I had to find a new studio. This was difficult to accomplished. Since so many studio's sell clothing, piercing, eyebrow waxing, massages,etc. They really are not "true" Merle Norman stores. I even noticed that one studio was selling the favors as travel/purse size products. I know this because I looked on the back of the product and it clearly states "not to be sold" or something to that effect. Sold the eye shadow for $3.00 massacra for $3.00 and I cannot remember the price on the blush and pencils.
I was so happy to find the Merle Norman in Schererville. A "true" Merle Norman store that focuses on the basics of skin care and the art of apply make-up products, eye products,lip products,etc. I have been a customer at this store for over 20 years and have found JoAnn and her mother, who passed away, to be very courteous, respectful and knowledgeable about Merle Norman products and skin care. I look forward to my monthly 5 minute facials because I am educated about new skin care products and how to apply my make-up. JoAnn always helps me chose the right colors for my skin tone.
JoAnn, gives excellent service and is always courteous and respectful.

I went to the Munster location Saturday July 2nd only to find out they were closed for the holiday weekend. I called the Schereville location and asked what time they were open until. Joanne answered the phone told me in a rude tone that she closes promptly at 4pm and then hung up on me.



I arrived at 3pm and asked to buy two face washes. Joanne told me that I am not a regular customer and these take two weeks to get from California, I couldn't buy two because She needs to save these for her regular customers. She still had three more on the shelf.



I told her she was rude to me on the phone and she could shove these up her a$$.



There are plenty of place to buy makeup that offer better service. If you offer good service and a good product first time customers turn into regular customers.



Don't waste your time here!!!

Joann was very rude and unprofessional towards me on the phone. I called to ask if they did eyebrow waxing there and if they had any availability she told me no and I should seek another source. she then hung up on me so I called back to let her know that that was very unprofessional and she began screaming at me and calling me dirty names and hung up on me again. I would never recommend the store even to someone I disliked. Joann was very, very rude an ignorant. by the way I only left a star because it was the only way to submit a review

Very poor customer service. Extremely rude and unhelpful on the phone. Would NOT recommend. I gave one star because I had to give a star to submit.
