I don't know if I have 25 words to review. Who ever said this was the best place to eat pizza lied.

Il Panificio has simply the best Italian food! Mouth Watering pizza with an amazing crust you can't help but crave it day to day. Angel wing pastries and Cannolis to die for! You will not believe the luscious cannoli filling. You must stop in and see the staff and chat with Pops. They know their customers! Il Panificio adds so much to downtown Sarasota it is a constant hug of activity. If you are a local or a visitor you must stop in and have a meal or order a pizza to go - you will be back!

my first and last experience there was absolutely pathetic. my pizza had burnt crust along the edges, all underneath and overcooked cheese. when i complained to the owner he tried to tell me that is how it is. well that was ridiculous to try and make a former new yorker (who knows great pizza and how to cook it)think it is ok to be served anything burned. i work with a local catering company and when i told of my visit there, the chefs just shook their heads in disgust. what made my experience there pathetic was the fact that the owner himself didn't want to make sure the customer (me)walked away happy.so now i tell everyone i meet not to go there because the customer evidentally doesn't matter.not to mention they think burned pizza is ok. what a waste of ingredients.
