I began my integrative practice with Alternative Therapy Associates on 2nd Street in Santa Fe in 1993, and transitioned to private practice on South St. Francis Drive while also working as the sole physician on weekends at the Santa Fe Family Health Center Urgent Care on Rodeo Road. I then moved to New York to join Dr. Michael Schachter, the past president of ACAM, at the Schachter Center for Complementary Medicine.
Colonoscopy
At 360 Medicine, we use a gentle gravity-fed, open system LIBBE colon hydrotherapy device, operated by I-ACT trained technicians. A soothing flow of purified warm water is instilled gently into the colon through a disposable nozzle the size of a pencil that the client easily inserts. With the LIBBE device, the pressure, temperature, and flow of water, are all safely regulated throughout the session and may be operated in privacy for those who prefer solitude. The incoming water is purified with an ultraviolet and activated charcoal water purification system. In some situations, colon hydrotherapy may be used as a non-laxative preparation for a colonoscopy.

Mammograms can provide inaccurate readings. A recent study by The Harvard School of Public Health revealed that mammograms can contribute to a high rate of cancer overdiagnosis. The National Cancer Institute estimates that the risk of a false positive finding is about 40%, which leads to unnecessary psychological stress as well as scans, biopsies, lumpectomies, mastectomies, chemotherapy and radiation for cancer, when in fact the areas in question wouldn't have caused any symptoms or adverse health consequences.

More comprehensive IV nutrient infusions, such as a Vitamin C drip, are generally mixed in a glass bottle or IV bag that can hold a large amount of nutrients. Our Vitamin C infusions range from a 15-gram drip given over 30 minutes to a substantial 100-gram drip given over three hours and are generally also fortified with a number of B-vitamins, minerals and amino acids. Vitamin C is very helpful in aiding detoxification and supporting the immune system. It’s a common naturopathic approach to give IV Vitamin C to help the body fight many types of acute infections or even help reduce the potential side effects of chemotherapy or radiation therapy.
