Wilson Elementary School offers educational instruction to students in prekindergarten through grade five. The school has an enrollment of more than 1,000 students and is a part of the Seminole County School District. Its literacy program includes the language elements of phonics, phonemic awareness, fluency, vocabulary development and comprehension. Its teachers utilize ad hoc groups, instructional assistants and parent volunteers to provide individualized instruction. The school s fifth-grade students operate Wilson's TV studio lab and morning news show, which comprises director, announcers, camera operators and technicians. It also provides educational programs to gifted students and those with specific-learning disabilities and autism. The school s cafeteria offers nutritious lunch menu to students. Wilson Elementary School is located in Sanford, Fla.
