I have spinal stenosis and I recently had an appointment with Dr. Thome for evaluation and discussion of possible treatments. I was very pleased with the genuine interest in my condition that was shown by Dr. Thome and his assistant, Stacey Boyett. The results of my MRI were shown to me and explained in a manner that I could easily understand. We discussed my history, questions I had and the improvement I have experienced since the initial onset of the symptoms. He examined me physically and manipulated my legs to determine strength and control. At the end of the appointment, we came to a mutual conclusion regarding my treatment that I am very pleased with. I received the report of my visit and was impressed with the completeness and, although it expressed a number of things in technical terms, I was able to understand what was being said. I am very happy that I was referred to Idaho Pain Clinic by my neurosurgeon and that I saw Dr. Thome.

Do NOT! I repeat, Do NOT use this office unless it's your last resort. Take the time to actually see professionals in CDA or Spokane if you can. Regina Kendra is the worst health care practitioner I've ever encountered. Continually interrupted me and refused to listen to me or give heed to my concern at all. Dr. Isprescu was decent, but treated me like he didn't have time for me. The only tolerant one there was Chipreana, but even she treated me like she barely had the time to look at me. Several times over the past few years I had family emergencies where I ran out of medication while traveling and this clinic refused to do anything to help. Resulting in me suffering through withdrawals while dealing with a family death and my mom having cancer surgery. I can't stress enough how much I will never go back to this place!

Overall

I have been a pain patient since 1995. Seattle Minor & James Clinic took care of all medical needs. Three years ago they kicked out all of their pain patients! We lived in Idaho and quarterly saw my Dr in Seattle so this was a very hard time for me and my family. I knew that there were no doctors in Idaho that would continue the plan I was on since 1995. I found out about the Idaho Pain Clinic. I did some studying about Pain Clinics and most of them were there to get you off of pain meds so I was scared of these clinics. I saw the Dr. and his nurses, they looked at the program I was on and the pain issue's I have that are not going away. I was surprised when they kept me on my program. I am 71 and the medication I'm on has helped me. I stay on the same dose and continue to walk. While at the clinic a representative from Proove a DNA company asked if they could get my DNA. The results for me were good. I think that DNA is a great tool for pain Drs. thanks to all of you .
