City-San Marcos Animal Shelter

HORRIBLE PLACE Found a small puppy that was lost and needed help due to the bad flood in San Marcos , I regret taking him to this place , They were very Rude here , seems like these people have no kind of heart for pets that are in need of help !! When i gave them the puppy they just got him and shoved him in a cage , didnt even give a minute to check the lil guy out !! Not to mention they were acting like they were so scared to get a lil dog hair on them , in fact they ask me if would put the pup in the cage for them !! After seeing how he just shoved him in the lil cage just to hurry to go sit back behind his desk to finish his cup of coffee i wished i would of done it myself !! The whole time they had a very bad attitude and were very Rude !! I would NEVER take another dog here ever again !!!

we didn't find a dog the day went that was a good fit for us, but the staff was friendly and patient since there where about 4 familes all wanting to look at dogs.They lady at the front was knowledgable about the dogs they had available and answered all our questions. They place was clean and the dogs looked very well taken care of. I know there are many negative reviews about them and because of that it tooks us months to finally go.That's why I'm reviewing them so people aren't mmislead.

The worst adoption experience I've had. They would rather euthanize pets than give them to good homes based on opinion, every staff member was extremely rude, and they're definitely ones to lecture. Would NOT recommend if you're serious about adopting since they make it virtually impossible
